There ish so many cool theme songs on adult swim? Which one is your fave? I like Cowboy Bebops begining theme,Tank! and Ending Song TRFB and The ATHf theme [My name is shake-sula...the mike rula....LOL!]

Home Movies: The ending to "Brendon's Choice" and "The Party" and the "Don't Stick Marbles Up Your Nose" song.

Sealab 2021:
In a rather abysmal episode where Stormy sings quietly "Gonna show Quinn this new hairdryer.." over and over. Perhaps he says something different, I forget.

The beginning to Sealab 2021 is music perfection. Very catchy.

The AS theme song is really cool. Plus, 99.9% of the music on Cowboy Bebop rocks like a freakin' hurricane. The ATHF theme is prety cool too.

I used to like Tank! the most, but I found some other CB music I like better, like Space Lion. Ok, I'm a sap for the full song sax solo, but what do you expect from a sax player? I like the AS theme, too.

ANYTHING BY DWAYNE'S BAND!!!!

Including, in no particular order:

1. "Don't Stick Marbles In Your Nose"

2. "Don't Kill Children (Don't Run 'Em Over)"
(and am I wrong, or doesn't this song and Dwayne's appearance give a small nod to the Ramones?)

3. "The Kafka Opera"

Any I forgot to mention?

Then youre dog is awesome. Schoolly D is great and I love that theme song. However, I'd have to make my list of fav songs as:
1. MC Chris- Fette's Vette (Played in Sealab's jazz cola)
2. Space Ghost- KNIFIN' AROUND!!!!
3. Sealab Theme
4. Starboy
5. ATHF Theme

And songs that I'd rather die than hear again:
1. Any song played during baby blues... theyre all barenaked ladies
2. Some of the brak songs... face it, brak isnt funny if hes in large quantities

Who could not love The franz kafka song,"He'll smite you with meatphor fists..."
Also Zorak has the best songs on the Brak show, because his voice is so diffrent. and he is used to sing less than Brak

Sisto Kid
02-14-2002, 10:26 PM
Speaking of Zorak's singing ("Don't Send In The Clowns" is my favorite song of his) I thought Zorak lost his "beautiful man-voice" once he swallowed up the lugie that managed him to stardom then ripped him off. ("Talent Show")

Yet, once it comes Zorak's turn to sing in Brak's musical "Psychoklahoma" and he starts singing "Welcome to The Painful Acres (With the Spicket On Hot)"* taa-daah! He's got his man-voice (or should I say his boy-band voice) back again.

Whassup wit dat?

*uhh, I THINK that's the song title.

All of Duane's(or Dwayne, I'm not sure) on Home Movies is cool, and the music from Cowboy Bebop rocks, but my favorite would either have to be the music in the episode of Cowboy Bebop where they find Ed's dad (I dunno which song but it's in that ep, Its called call me call me) or the background music to the illegal radio station the FCC shut down in Sealab: 2021.

Lonestarr
02-15-2002, 10:23 AM
- Tank! (from "Cowboy Bebop"; composed by Yoko Kanno and performed by The Seatbelts)

- Just about every song on "The Brak Show" (especially the ones sung by Zorak with his beautiful man voice)

- "Don't Put Marbles in Your Nose" and just about all of Dwayne's songs on "Home Movies" (now, was the message of that song "don't put marbles in your nose" or "put them in there", 'cause I'm not too clear on that.)

- "It's All Been Done" by Barenaked Ladies ("Baby Blues")

- the "Sealab 2021" theme by Calamine

Sisto Kid
02-15-2002, 10:42 AM
To tell the truth, Lonestar, it sounds like he's saying "don't put marbles in your nose/put them in there/DO NOT put them in there". Maybe that was Dwayne's version of a "subliminal message" and that's why all the school kids put the marbles in their nose upon hearing the song. (?)

Only Dwayne knows for sure, and he ain't tellin'.

Sheamon

Blue
Space Lion
The Real Folk Blues
Call Me Call Me
Adieu
Rain
Green Bird (all from CB obviously)

may as well end here although Yoko Kanno's so perfect I could go on forever :p

Sandro

All the music of Cowboy Bebop; however, this might be a little biased because I'm a bass player. :D The Space Ghost theme is pretty cool too.

Yeah I was wondering about that too. Maybe they just felt like putting a "Boy-band voice" singing disturbing lyrics about killing for a brand of sick humor that I love.

Oh, yeah,

"Tank" from CB is pretty phat too.

On a somewhat related note, I think that it's pretty cool that for the most part, Cowboy Bebop episodes are named after classic rock songs.

Cases in point:

1. Wild Horses (Rolling Stones)

2. Hard Luck Woman (KISS)

3. Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)

4. Jamming With Edward (actually the name of a Stones' Bootleg album)

I'm having a severe brain freeze here, I know there are others, but I just can't remember them all.

The song that played during the end credits to SGC2C's "Table Read" episode. It's an acid jazz instrumental called "Sane To You". It's an awesome piece of work. You Bebop fans would love it.

the actual adult swim theme song that plays while all of the old people are swimming at the beginning of the block is great. i love the way it sounds, and i have spent hours trying to locate it on the net, only to turn up unsuccessfully. also, the Franz Kafka Rock Opera from Home Movies was hilarious, and i had it stuck in my head for like a month. hehe. Dwayne's band is so funny. i also like the opening to the Brak Show, and how it makes fun of those family sitcoms from the 50's. hehe

HIlarious

Dwayne has a very strong Joey Ramone thing goin' on (God rest his soul!)

I think that the "Livin' Like a Bug Ain't Easy" song from the Kafka Rock-opera was musical perfection... of course Jason crying over Dwayne's "death" made it even funnier!

I can't help but sing along to the ATHF theme song, and the Sealab theme has really grown on me over the past few moths.

Not only does Dwayne's appearance and songs give a nod to the Ramones, but he even TALKS a little like Joey, too!!!

R.I.P. Joey Ramone-you are still missed. Often imitated...never duplicated.

*DING DING DING* We have a winner! The correct answer was Tenor Saxophone. If you've ever heard the beginning or ending theme to SNL, then you know that a tenor sax can go that high (or higher, eh Dr. Reef? :D ) As for the prize: continued use of the internet with no additional charges by me!
