In the UK, Boomerang, Cartoon Network's first spinoff network, airs classic cartoons from the Hanna-Barbera library. Plus they look for shows outside of their library.

This week, according to AWN, Boomerang UK has acquired 30 half-hour specials and 18 half-hour episodes featuring Charles Schulz's popular Peanuts characters. They're scheduled to premiere in August in the UK, and the most recent acquisitions by the CN spinoff, which also includes Gerry Anderson's cult classic Thunderbirds, the popular Pink Panther shorts, and a classic from the golden age of Nickelodeon, Dangermouse.

Oh, great. People in England get Snoopy, The Pink Panther, DM and Penfold, and all we get is wall-to-wall Smurfs repeats.

Good grief!
