Who are your favorite members of the Doo family besides Scooby Doo of course? If you have multpile favorite, feel free to metion them. The Doo family, which for some reason is the only family of dogs that can talk in the world of Scooby Doo.

grandpa and great greandpa were actually "Scooby"s, not "Doo"s. That is how we can break down the family tree. Grandpa and Great Grandpa were Mumsy's elders (and "Scooby" the maiden name that was replaced), while all the "Doo"s must have been Dada's family.

Dooby's listed twice in the poll... and he's Scooby's cousin, not brother.
"Our" Scooby could just be named after his grandfather/great-grandfather (i.e. Scooby is his ancestor's first names, too), just as George W. Bush is named after his dad... with maybe the family just calling him "Grandpa Scooby" to differentiate from "our" Scooby...
Another relative to throw in might be Whoopsy Doo, Scooby's cousin (a clown) who's owned by Shaggy's uncle Gaggy (a prankster).

Another thing to point out, Yabba-Doo is actually Scooby's cousin.
I don't know how against the grain I am with this but I picked Scrappy. I liked the little guy. He was brash, had bravado and looked up to his unca Scooby (at least in the beginning) The other Scooby relatives weren't quite my speed. I found them to be clones of Scooby for the most part with a dominant trait that the writers played on.
At least Scrappy had his own truly distinct personality even if they did run him into the ground a bit.

You know Scrappy Doo uses the last name "Doo", his mother's madem name, so he probably never meet his father. Maybe all of us, have been a little harsh on Scrappy, maybe he is the annoying pest that he is, because he never had a father. As Johnny the shoe shine guy said on Police Squad!, he doesn't excuse him, but at least we understand him better.
My favorite Scooby relative, is Scooby Dum. I thought he and Scooby made a good team, and Daws Butler is one of the best.

No, he's Scooby's brother---Scrappy called him "Uncle Yabba" all the time... why he isn't in the group of Scooby's siblings in that "Pup" episode, I'm still not sure (maybe he was born sometime after that episode took place?) ...

Speaking of family resembles and traits, is it just me, or is the shape of young Scooby Doo head from Pup Named Scooby Doo (as well as a flashback episode on 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo) is the same shape of Scrappy Doo. Maybe when Scrappy grows up, he will look like the grown up Scooby Doo. Also when Scooby was born (seen in a flashback in a 13 Ghosts episode) he has the same light skin color as Scrappy.

I'm sorry to say it, but I have to go with Scrappy here. While Scoob's other relatives had recurring roles, Scrappy's the only one that has become a regular and I definately know him better than the rest of the Doo clan. I haven't seen the series with Yabba, so I can't comment on that one.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that loves Scooby Dooby Dum! By far the funniest member of his family.

The youung Scooby on the flashback in Scooby Goes Hollywood (which was made the first year of Scrappy, but did not have him) really looked like Scrappy; much moreso than Pup Named Scooby.
I guess thjat's what the young version of that type of dog looks like.
Also, early in the stages of development, a young feisty pup was considered, before they went with the big cowardly dog (and then the decision between a sheepdog and a great dane). So who knows, that face could have been the original Scooby.

Haven't seen Scooby Goes To Hollywood in ages, so I don't remember, I'll take your word for it. But I think we are on the same track saying the younger Scooby seen in flashbacks in the classic HB era shows (1969-85) more resembled Scrappy, than the young Scooby on Pup. Because I think young Scooby from 13 Ghosts "It's A Wondeful Scoob" more resembles Scrappy.

I don't even remember this young Scooby from Thirteen Ghosts. There was the young Shaggy and Scooby on Happy Birthday Scooby from the year before, but I don't remember him looking like Scrappy. That one just looked like a young Scooby, IIRC.
