Summer is over and with it comes a new season of King of the Hill! Synopsis of the season premiere from tv.com:
When the guys take take Bobby to a college football game their hijinks land them in a VIP box suite and calling plays for the visitng team.
Nice. It's about time King of the Hill had another football-themed episode, as those are some of my favorites in the show ("A Beer Can Named Desire", "Bills Are Made to Be Broken"). See you at 8:30/7:30c- BTW, great time slot for the show, not pre-empted by football and all.

a two parter Really, I didn't see the potential for it.
That said, the episode wasn't too bad.

I really liked this one. There was a great dilemma for Hank, gradually getting sucked into staying in the exclusive box because Bobby was finally interested in sports, and eventually the seemingly harmless actions backfire on him and the gang.
The third act, when they're trying to leave the stadium, had some good tension, especially when Hank thinks the Texas fans point in their direction but they were actually running to beat up someone else. And the bit where Hank gets aggravated at the guy taking forever to leave was great, too, especially when the seemingly harmless guy gets aggressive after Hank yells at him.

Luann and the HDTV = hiliarious.
I thought I saw a scene where 'Scandal' was on a TV in the episode. Is there more to this one, or... what? It's too bad there won't be a DVD release if there is a deleted scene...
Good episode, I really liked Hank and Bobby's relationship, the Trollmeo and Juliet joke was really funny, and the whole thing played out really well.

What? No showcasing of Trolleo and Juliet? Blasmphemous! :D That stated, I admit I was shocked when Bobby gave no ultimate reason why he started to like football, he just liked it. Call it a change in his character, call it his father's numerous influences, it's a different change for the unique kid. What a neat surprise this season opened up with.
Overall, I felt it was decent. Nothing overally grandeur and of course, when it's being funny, it's funny (Unlike most, I enjoyed Peggy's aggressiveness--tis hilarious--and pretty much anything Luanne says is gold, "But don't play Side B, you will fall in love")--though as simple minded as Luanne is, would she really mistake a high def TV for a window?
I liked this one as well. I honestly couldn't help but to laugh seeing Hank's face when his play caused the Longhorns to lose. I also didn't mind Peggy being an aggressive football fan and especially found it funny when the house was trashed in the last scene.
The ending with Luanne calling the kitty on the television made me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes.
It was so random, and so funny!
BOOMER SOONER! HAHA Long horns owned by Nebreska off a quick kick I was laughing so hard

"Thank God it's covered in warning labels, because this antifreeze looks delicious." --Peggy
"Hank, we are not getting an HDTV. They are too lifelike. Luanne would be walking into it all the time." --Peggy
"Dad, those birds flying below us are blocking my view of the game." --Bobby
"We can't leave this box! If we go now we'll somehow break the momentum and Nebraska will take back the game! And then Bobby will lose his interest in football! And then he will be miserable! And then he will die!" --Hank
"Dang. You've really thought this through." --Dale
"I'm gonna watch this game unencumbered. SO LONG, JERK!!" --Bill taking off his belt
"Jake, I need a play! I--I don't know what to do! The fans will kill me! And they'll do it with tractors and farm machinery!" --Assistant Coach
"What are you guys doing on the floor?"
"We're---uh, grazing! We're pretending we're Longhorns; it's a tradition of the game!" --Hank
"Mooooooooo!" --Dale, Bill and Boomhauer
"Violence IS the answer!" --heard from the angry crowd
Thank goodness the "final" episode wasn't the last one. Simpsons II is pretty bad, but King of the Hill II's turning out great.

I enjoyed this episode a lot. While I didn't like how Bobby was just pulled into sports...just 'because', I did like seeing everything Hank did to keep him into it- half of it as sleazy and dishonest as it was.
Dale ruled, as he always does.
But I think Lucky should've been there with LuAnn...I mean...they ARE married now, after all.

Now the big question...who would really win between the Huskers and the Longhorns?

Good question tb4000, interestingly enough Texas and Nebraska are scheduled to play each other on October 27th in Austin so I guess everbody will find out when they play. Although I would probably say Texas

I don't uasually watch King but since it came on after the simpsons and watched it. Of course I have watched a few eps on FX and this was one of the best ones I've seen. Anyways I liked the ending the best when they try to sneak out of the stadium and to not be beaten for making the Texas team lose they buy nebraska shirts and try to get out of there only to make Texas fans mad and were rescued by Nebraska fans who helped them leave and drive to Nebraska way out of their way. That was great. The other part I liked when Luan was looking at tv and wanted to let the kitty in. Well anyways I migt watch King next week. :zoidberg:

This has to be one of my favorite episodes so far. I was glad to see Bobby gained an intrest into sports in the end, at least Hank got his happy ending. I'm no Peggy fan in fact I'm an anti Peggy fan, but what Luann said at the end was pretty funny, I laughed hard at thatXD
Any ways I give this episode an A.

Luane makes Homer Simpson and Peter Griffen look like geniuses.
I actually liked this side of Peggy, it was funny to see her NOT being a pretentious dumbass, but a regular dumbass.
This was also one of the more exciting episodes, most episodes of KOTH tend to take boring concepts and turn them into boring comedies, this was a boring concept(watching football) turned into a hilarious comedy.
I'm betting that Hank will enjoy Nebraska next week.

Just finally saw it on my DVR. You know, like The Simpsons and Family Guy, King of the Hill isn't as good as it used to be, but unlike the other two, the show has acutally picked itself up again ever since last season, so much so that now I eagerly await it's newer episodes more then Simpsons or Family combined. And here's another great episode. It seems like Hank's dream(Bobby getting into football) has finally come true, and I can't help but feel happy for the propane salesman. Not only that, but most of the jokes here had me in stitches, and I even enjoyed Peggy for a change. Overall, a ****1/2.
Now 38 minutes until the new one, and 98 minutes for the new American Dad!:D
