YEAH!!! :D :D :D

The second season of Drawn Together is going to be on DVD September 25! In other words, this coming Tuesday! All 15 episodes, and not only that, they're UNCENSORED! w00t!

Also, new episodes of Drawn Together will be on Comedy Central starting October 4, at 10:30 PM EST!

If you want to talk about this, feel free to do so here! This thread is all yours!

"Meh", I say. IMHO, Drawn Together was a better idea than it was a show. I liked the idea of a reality TV parody with different cartoon characters from different eras all sharing a house, but too often the shows' writers resort to shameless "pee-pee, ca-ca" humor when it just isn't necessary. If you have to be dirty to be funny, then you're not that funny. Plus, the DT writers constantly pander to the own favorite characters. Almost every episode focuses on either Princess Clara (season 1) or Captain Hero (seasons 2 and 3). I would like to see more of Ling-Ling.

Drawn Together made me laugh harder than I ever thought it would and I for one am very happy that it's finally comin' out.

Can't wait to catch the new episodes. :)

This is only going to be seven episodes, right? (The final half of Season 3).

AND I noticed that Comedy Central's reliving past mistakes and putting it back on Thursday Nights. I guess they really do want the show to be finished as quickly as possible.

Me too! but does anyone notices that Xander the gay elf has a strange resemblence to Ren from "Pirates of Dark Water"? and here's a joke i made of Xander:
"I bet Xander since he is an Elf use to work for the Kibbler company, he invented "Rainbow" chocolate Chip cookies" LOL!

You just described Family Guy when it was renewed. :D

I love the show. If buying the second season will ensure a renewel of it, then I'll rush out to buy it as soon as my local Best Buy opens.

I hate that sort of humor and found Drawn Together to be funnier than both Family Guy and South Park. Lowly humor may have factored into some of its plots, but I found 99% of the actual jokes to be clever nonsense and unexpected turns of dialog, the kind of witty stuff I enjoy. I don't know where everyone gets the idea that it was a predominantly boorish series unless they didn't really try to watch it.

On the contrary, I've seen every episode of Drawn Together. There have been some good lines and jokes here and there, but overall, I just didn't care for the off-color stuff. I do like the concept, though. I just feel that the show would have been funnier without the "How much can we get away with?" stance often going over the top.

The concept for the show had potential and I think they deliver.

I am not a fan of gross-out humor however this show is still very funny. Apparently a fourth season depends on DVD sales and the rest of S3 ratings, even if the chances for a fourth are slim I'm glad to see the show air again I don't even remember what happened on the first part of the cliffhanger mid-season break.

The creators have said a fourth season may not be a possibility, but I'm just glad that finally, FINALLY after a WHOLE YEAR of waiting for BOTH the season 2 DVD and the second half of season 3, we can finally have closure. It has been far too long since I've gotten my fill of 'Clum Babies'.

Couldn't Paramount make a DT movie to end the series?

Exactly.

Sometimes I laughed out loud (literally) while watching some episodes. Overall though, it was just too over the top for my tastes.

I get it. Speaking of which, I hoped that Xander would stay half and half but then he just went super gay. :(

Jeez. September 25 is a HUGE release date. Halo 3, Dethalbum, and Drawn Together Season 2!

Shooting aliens, brutal metal, and same-sex kissing all in one day?!

Wasn't that the point? Besides I always thought it was Captin Hero's job to be "half and half".

Was it suppose to be funny?

Also Drawn Together is awesome. Season 3 made me laugh so friggin' hard.

I remember that! I never did get to thank you for bringing that to our attention.

Good eye spotting that, and THANK YOU for posting here to tell us.

I'm glad Drawn Together is finnally getting a new season.

The thing I don't get is, South Park may be Comedy Central's star, but that show was NOT intended to be anywhere close to successful. It took off because there hadn't really been a show like it...

And even to this day the show pulls some outragious stunts.

So in that regard, why is Comedy Central treating Drawn Together with a lot less care?

Clum Babies is the best DT episode ever, and if you could take all of the good parts of the rest of the series and edit them together (and not have them spread out among a abyss of otherwise poor writing), you'd have another 3-4 funny, entertaining episodes.

And as far as the conspiracy theories go, compared to, say, Clerks or Invader ZIM! Drawn Together has been treated like royalty up to this point. (Plus if it does get axed, at least we'll be more victorious than the Nielsens for once)

Because IMHO Drawn Together sucks. South Park is intelligent in it's humor. Drawn Together craps on a great premise with pointless, brain-dead racial, toilet and gay humor. It had potential, but it's not funny.

As opposed to all of Comedy Central's other great programming? Everything they've tried to replace Drawn Together with has flopped and been cancelled, yet DT stuck around for 3 seasons.

It must've done SOMETHING right to do that.

It's not my favorite show or anything, but it has it's moments and is definitely better than a LOT of stuff they put on that station nowadays.

So, the final episodes of Drawn Together are airing in October? Why haven't I seen any ads?
