Ok, so what'd everybody think? For the first time, I'm wondering whether Jack might go too far. The guy in the limo turned out to be the right guy, but before that was confirmed, I couldn't help but wonder whether Jack was out of line. In the future, Jack could easily find himself beating up on an innocent.

In any case, this episode impacted me in a major way. I knew that Jack was in a rough position before, but I don't think I realized what that really meant. I do now. Jack's probably lost much of the man he once was. He's changed, and I don't know if he can ever regain the person he once was. Even if everything works out in the end and he gets his family to safety, I don't think he can ever go back to the life he once had. This has got to change the way he looks at himself, his job, and what he's doing in life.

Well, I'm rambling now. Going back to the episode, my favorite moment had to be when we saw who the contact was, and his stunned expression when he realized Jack was there in the limo. That might've been my favorite scene in the series thus far. Even if it's in a small way, Jack's already gotten some payback. That was satisfying to see.

My favorite scene in the episode was when Kevin Corell (the contact) saw who Jack was and then put six bullet sinto the divider in the limo. And all Jack did was smile and didn't even flinched. I loved that scene. It was just directed so...perfectly. Damn, I really hope this series sees a DVD release, I really do. This show would work so perfectly on DVD.

Jack is definatly getting desperate and starting to lose it. With no sleep in about 30 hours and his wife missing, and some personnel vendetta against him, I wouldn't balme him. When Kevin told Jack he'll take him to his family, I just thought to myself "Aw crap...just what Gaines wants". And from the looks of next week's previews, we're gonna find out more about Jack and Gaines, I hope. Also, according tot he preview, Jack gets Teri an dhis daughter back. That all makes sense becuase it will be episode #13, which was the initial episode order. But now that they have the greenlight for all 24 episodes, I bet Teri and Kimberly aren't done with yet.

Next week is definatly gonna be great. I really, really hope that Jack gets his family to safety...even just for a few minutes in the episode. He deserves it. But once he's out of this problem, there's the 2nd contingency plan and the new CTUD director to deal with.

Man...this series rocks.

As for Teri's stomach pains...I don't think it came from her rape. She said it's been coming and going for awhile, and she got raped about 2 hours ago around 8am or so. So, it has to be something else. An ulcer?

I was wondering about that. It's definitely going to have some impact in the future, but what? I can't think of what might be causing the pains or what role it'll play.

I think it's foreshadowing to something that'll happen towards the end of the day, near 7 or 8pm. It is something that coud've been dismissed if 24 didn't get picked up, but I definatly see them going somewhere with this. I wonder if she'll tell Jack about her sorta rape and her stomach pains.

One of the many things I like about this series is the many twists it takes. Just when you think they've done it all, they turn everything completely around. Plus they show alot of what is usually skipped over in movies and the like.

And I know it's just paranoia but I just don't fell 100% about Tony or that new director...

Awesome, just awesome!

For some reason, Bauer's scenes reminded me of Hamlet, where Hamlet feigns insanity to meet his goals, when in reality he truly is going off the edge. And while Jack has years of experience to handle this situation, Teri is going by instinct. You have to respect her for that, and like everyone says - she's a heckuva mom.

And it looks like the little players are being taken out of the picture. Even Gaines looks like he's a goner. Heck, even Palmer is apparently a small fry to... THEM

Alright - we know Palmer and Bauer are connected in some way to some summer from years past. And we know that Palmer realizes the connection. Now, does that make Palmer a friend, or an enemy? And is that connection related to his Palmer's son's apparent homicide?

I am definatly interested in this "Operation: Nightfall" that Jack was involved in, and somehow Bauer was, too. At first, I wasn't really interetsed in the Bauer storyline, but now I find myself drawn into it. It's weaving togethor with Jack's which is just making it more intruiging. I also think that Bauer's son's homicide may have been a stepping stone to introduce...THEM. But if they want this covered up, then there has to be ALOT more to it. And could Bauer's wife be in on it, too?

Good lord...where is this going? I can't wait until May for the season finale! GAH!!

Palmer's son and wife you mean. Yeah, it definitely appears there's something a lot bigger going on. The various plot lines are starting to intertwine.

And going back to Teri's stomach pains, I'm thinking now that it has to be related to the rape. Because there wasn't any mention of it before, was there?

Also, one other thought. Once this season is over, if the series does continue, would it involve Bauer again, or a completely unrelated set of characters? Given the extent of what we're seeing here, I wouldn't think that Jack would even want to go back to life as an agent. So maybe we'd see an entirely new set of circumstances based around new characters.

Wow...

This ep was probably the most suspensful of all that i've seen. I'm just dying to find out the connection between Gaines, his boss, Palmer, Bauer, summer two years ago, and Operation: Nightfall.

I think this'll end up being a one year show. I hear this is a mighty expensive show. But if it does come back, I could see it working with and without Sutherland and the crew. I'm also itching to know the connection between Bauer, Palmer, and Gaine's boss.

And wow..Teri is a smart cookie. After she shot the first one, I was saying "shoot again!" becuase they are expecting two shots no doubt. And there she goes, shot #2. I wonder what kind of effect this will have on her. Since they apparently escape next week (according to the previews) this should have some ramifications.

This show just keeps getting better.
