Okay, now I can't beleive that I would be the only one here who didn't think that they'd grow up to be the next Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Superman, etc., am I?
Well, for those of you who perhaps thought about this when you were younger...or older...what has become of it? Are you training right now, even got a butler and everything? Or, has it helped you look for a career in "crime fighting", like police, detective, or fire-fighter work. Or maybe it's led you you study psychology or criminology, etc. Or have you completely forgotten about it or dismissed it as a stupid childhood dream? Do tell do tell!

Funny you should mention this- I SOOOO thought I was going to be "The Real-Life Batman" when I grew up.
Step 1: Win the lottery. I didn't know how Bruce got so rich, but this was my plan. STATUS: Unaccomplished.
Step 2: Use funds to develop completley bullet proof batsuit. I mean, c'mon, I couldn't dodge all of those bullets, so I'd take the easy route! STATUS: Unaccomplished.
Step 3: Get a butler, batcave, and batmobile. I even made drawings of "my" Batmobile, and watched Goldfinger so that I could rip off the gadgets on Bond's car to use for my own. STATUS: Unaccomplished.
As you can see, I have yet to carry out my masterful plan, but who knows, maybe some day. ;)

actually, my plan was pretty much like thegame's...but, I think I'll just spend THIS life searching for a Lazarus Pit, and then dip into that, come back out, train my butt off...dip back into the pit...and then go to Gotham and fight fight fight! :D

Hey, there's plenty of crime in Jersey...isn't that a favourite hang-out for the mob?
Anyway, being Batman would be cool and all, but I think it's a heckuva lot easier being a villain instead...of course, you'd get nabbed by the cops within 5 minutes of stepping onto the sidewalk with a crazy costume on, but hey, you'd make the front page of the paper.

Gotham is also another name for New York City. Which makes sense since, as we've discussed before, Gotham is based on NYC.

naw, when I was growing up I thought I would be a Ninja Turtle :: what your your probably thinking right now::" what an idiot! a human can't turn into a turtle!" yes I was a retard (and still am), most people are retards when they are kids, some (like me) remain this way through out their pathetic lives, but thats besides the point the point is... that I am happy to say my dreams came true I am now a Ninja Turtle and it is a fun job. Today, wouldn't be that hard, just alot of patience would be needed, hehe. I personally wouldn't mind the job, I'm practically a nightcrawler already. :D

Actually, for the longest time i thought that i was different from all the other kids. I was, and still am, but i thought it was because that through some twist of fate that i would become a superhero. Not Batman persay, just my own superhero. But, i guess stuff like that doesn't happen in real life...

Have I thought of it? Of course! Still do. Maybe I'll fly to Japan or China. Learn some fighting techniques. I'd hate to get shot by bullets, so I'll need something bullet proof. But something easy to work with, unlike those dumb suits from the movies....

I thought that metropolis was based on NYC and Gotham was based on Chicago.
Anyway, I have a second degree black belt thanks to Batman.
And a moody boyfriend who lives in a cave. ;)

It was actually the opposite for me, as strange as that may sound. Everything I am, I found slight correlations to in Batman (except Bruce's case is much more extreme than my own of course :p). Yeah well, of all the people in the world, SOMEBODY has to be the weird one. Hey, it pays the bills....wait, no it doesn't....

I always wanted to be a superhero. Still do- only now, instead of brightly colored spandex, my fantasies usually involve an all-black costume.... it follows the current trend of cliched "cool" costumes that TV shows keep stuffing their superheroes in lately ;)
What has become of it? If I can't be a superhero, I'll darn create them..... animation school, baby! :p
(Although I doubt I'll get accepted into Sheridan...ah well, it's a nice dream. Nope, that wasn't a throw for sympathy, just.... oh never mind. I'm rambling here.)

I've heard Chicago is Gotham during the day, NYC is Gotham at night.
I've always wanted to be Batman. It'd be nice to do some good, to make that kind of difference, but I'd hate to have to go through the things Bruce had to go through (personal tragedy) in order to 'become' Batman.

I always figured that I'd be the next Robin or Batgirl...or that I would make up my own identity and then run out and find Batman. He is REALLY hard to find! :( I thought about winning the lottery...but I always hoped instead that some long lost relative that I never knew would die and just happen to leave me this huge fortune...I can dream!
I've always been interested in criminology amd detective work, I'm a big Sherlock Holmes fan. I've been attempting martial arts lessons from time to time, but have yet to do it continuously, because I'm always too busy with horseback riding, running, band and acting. That's another thing...if I can become a famous actress..I'll just try really hard to be in the next Batman movie, mwahahaha! That's my plan so far....it could work...in my dream world it will at least. Hey! But I do have a batgirl costume, though I need to really make a better one....and I have my very own, unique Batmobile....er..Batbug, to be more precise. Now if I could just find a butler and a whole lot of money.....

I just wanted to be a superhero in general. Actually I still do, but I used to have all these plans about going to distant worlds to train and stuff, but now I've completely forgot them. Actually (god i use that word too much), the only plan I remember now, has me meeting some aliens and convincing them to give me superpowers through their advanced alien technology. I guess it's sort of GL-ish.

Actually, Batman influenced my life a LOT. Thanks to him, I'm now deeply involved in martial arts, criminology, and psychology, which are not only very enjoyable hobbies, but have taught me self confidence and discipline. Bruce Wayne has awakened in me a passion for business and entrepreneurship, which has shaped my goals for my future. But most importantly, Batman's heroic ideals and steadfast dedication to them have influenced my values and how I look at the world. His infinite love of mankind and justice inspire me to do the same, and while I'll never be a superhero, Batman taught me that what we do makes a difference, that I can make a difference in the world. That's a valuable lesson everyone should learn, even if our teacher is a comic book character.
And I remember reading that Metropolis was also based in part on Toronto. Gotham started out as New York City, which bore the nickname of "Gotham" long before Batman, but has in time incorporated elements of other cities as well.
