On the heels of renting Batman:Vengeance I was wondering whether a similar game would work for the Justice League series. Honestly I don't know that it could. There are just so many variables with flying, fighting, multiple heroes, that I just don't think you could recreate that "Omigod it's like I'm really Batman!" feeling tha Vengeance gives you.

What do you all think? Would you like a Vengeance -style game? Do you think such a game could be done, and done well? Should future JL games stick to fighters like Marvel v Capcom? Am I just ranting at this point?

Well, yes to the last question but what about the rest?

Would the Cartoon Network game be considered a full fledged Justice League game? Maybe if that game does well (along with the series), companies will take notice.

You could either have it so that you get to be a different hero every level or like a beat 'em up, like the arcade X-Men game, allowing 7 players at once with different abilities and what-not.

Yeah, it could work. A Vengeance style game would be nice, but I'd prefer it to be less linear. I'd still want the 6 (well, 7 in this case) players on the screen at once beat 'em experience though. (maybe for a GBA port...)
There's a little-known JLA fighting game for the SNES and Genesis but it isn't all the great outside of the thrill of being DC Characters and showing Darkseid who's boss with Batman. A modern JL (or DCU) fighter could work but they shouldn't limit them to one genre. There aren't many good games that utilize DC characters outside of Vengeance, the Adventures of Batman and Robin for the SNES, and the Death and Return of Superman. Look what you made me do, now *I'm* rambling.

A JL game like the X-men arcade game or Batman Vengance would be cool. I would buy either one as long as it is based on the animated series.
