Rey Mysterio finally returned to action at SummerSlam and last week on SmackDown. Tonight he once again faces Chavo Guerrero in the same match that knocked the former World Champion out of action, an I Quit Match. Tune to The CW is just a few minutes as SmackDown nears Unforgiven and the return of The Undertaker!

SmackDown will kick off with the United States Champion MVP hosting another installment of his VIP Lounge. His guests? The WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and...MVP. The "half-man, half-amazing" Superstar will be a guest as well as the host when he welcomes his tag partner Hardy back across the velvet ropes. Will the unlikely duo have more to say about their title reign? More importantly, can Matt Hardy trust MVP?

Rey Mysterio soared in his SmackDown return last week, winning a Championship Competition to become the No. 1 Contender for The Great Khali’s World Heavyweight Title at Unforgiven. Then why is he jeopardizing his championship opportunity on SmackDown this Friday night, by accepting Chavo Guerrero’s challenge to an “I Quit” Match? The Sultan of the 619 already defeated Guerrero at SummerSlam, so what more does he have to prove? One has to wonder if Mysterio has truly considered the added pressure a contest like this may produce on his surgically repaired knee, which resulted when his last “I Quit” Match with Chavo put him out of action for 10 months. If painful history repeats itself Friday night, will Rey find himself out of the World Title hunt?

Also next Friday on SmackDown, Mr. McMahon and Jonathan Coachman continue their search for the Chairman’s bastard Superstar son. As the most talked-about sex scandal in sports-entertainment continues to unfold, what other clues will shed some light into Mr. McMahon’s sticky situation?

Find out the answers to these questions and more on SmackDown this Friday night, 8/7 CT, only on The CW Network.

I'm very disappointed and upset that yet again, Batista has a title shot. I believe he's had a title shot every month since Mania. Very disturbing.

I did like the daltons skit with the boxes. I think they're a pretty solid duo. They probably won't amount to much in the ring, but I hope they continue those skits.

Overall, an ok/decent smackdown.

Well, the Daltons actually made it to backstage. Now, it's just a matter of getting them into a match.

I'm sick of MVP's "1/2-man, 1/2-amazing" posturing. Matt Hardy was winning tag team titles with his brother before anyone had heard of MVP. The gimmick is nearing its expiration point. Time to shut this geek up once and for all.

I loved it when Cole called out JBL for not swooning over Victoria the way he does with Michelle McCool. Notice that again, Michelle took her shoes off before kicking Vic's face in. Mixed tag match next week, anyone?

Who was the sick mind that decided Hornswoggle would be cruiser champion? This joke is over, too, pals.

I think the only reason Batista is in the title match is to get the title off Khali once and for all. Assuming there's some sanity left in Michael Hayes' mind, that is.

Batista's not being suspended? I take it that if you're high enough on the card, you're immune from wellness violations? I swear, Khali better retain, 'cause I'm sick of Batista. Khali squeezes brains out of people's heads. If that's not championship material, I don't know what is.

The Road Runner/Coyote bit with Hornswoggle and Jaime Noble was pretty funny?

There is still no official list of people who have violated the policy. WWE said they're suspending 10 people and Daily News got "a list of names" from an unknown source, names of people who may or may not be in trouble. Batista has vehemently denied any association with the doctor and may even try to sue whoever's responsible for naming him as a suspect.

However, I have a feeling that at the time of taping, they were still trying to determine whether or not Batista was clean. It was ambiguous enough. The announcement for next week's match was done in commercial form, and the bit at the end with Teddy Long making the triple-threat match for the PPV could have been added in later. In the week since the taping I guess they decided that Batista is okay.

Khali is one of the very few that manages to beat Batista in the lack of charisma area. And yet somehow this ridiculously horrendous title reign of his has been more entertaining than both of Batista's. That said, I really don't know who'll walk out of Unforgiven with the belt (I especially don't see them putting it back on Rey unless it's purely for merchandising purposes; not that he's a bad wrestler). I guess I'll find out...WHEN I GO! ;)

Doing a quick check-in as RAW goes on, I just have a couple of comments. First I loved the entire series of events with Noble trying to trap Hornswoggle and then the reverse taking place. I wasn't expecting Shannon to just walk off, but that made it even better! Then Jesse and Festus wanting to get a talking box was icing on the... box.

I also must say that I am very disappointed Batista has been thrown in the World Title match. Khali-Mysterio is a ridiculous mismatch, but at least it offered an interesting story and I wondered if Rey would even be able to compete. Now it's just more of the same.
