From the Disney catalouge:

"When Cinderella and her prince return to the palace from their honeymoon, the new princess suddenly finds herself cast in the role of Royal Hostess. But the traditional rules of the Royal Court don't allow her to entertain in her own warm and wonderful way. With the help of everyone's favorite Fairy Godmother and a band of mischevious mice, Cinderella and her friends find that the only true way to succeed is to be yourself."

The movie's cover has Lucifer the Stepfamily cat making eyes at a white she-cat. The prince in a blue shirt, Gus and Jaq and a girl mouse, not to mention Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother. And with that, here's an excerpt from a short story that hasn't let me take the latter seriously anymore...

"Who could have designed such a gown? The Prince sensed a man after his own heart, and hopefully other organs as well... [Cinderella] was there by benefit of her fairy godmother, whom the Prince quickly placed as a Drag Queen of long standing."

The mice designed the gown. Of course it was none other than Pinky and The Brain, who wove the stitches of the garment in a pattern which subliminally spelled hypnotic messages that, when viewed by the king, prince, and various dignitaries/ministers at court, would persuade them to turn the reins of the kingdom over to Brain.
Unfortunately Cindy, being a clumsy peasant lass fresh out of the scullery, spilled punch on her gown, obscuring many of the threads. What resulted was a subliminal message suggesting a method of defeating a neighboring kingdom that had waged war with theirs for some time. When put into effect the king crushed his enemies and enjoyed three times the popularity he did before, making Brain's takeover scheme an utter bust (no pun intended). :p
