Note: My original commentary got erased, so sorry to anyone who was reading it..To make up for that mistake and add another side to the same coin, here is a list of things that make me look forward to CN potentially ending it's slump:
New Boondocks
New Metalocalypse
New Bleach (of course)
New Code Lyoko
New Pokemon Diamond and Pearl
New Naruto
One Piece being with Funimation
Cowboy Bebop returning
IGPX and maybe Bobobo coming to Jetstream (the latter is true, isn't it?)

Naruto is getting closer and closer to the filler eps (if it's not already there)
If you've been watching, shouldn't you know if it's there or not?
and it's got a long way to go until it reaches Shippuden. And where is the PPG Z? Why have they not attained Death Note or other equally good equallly new cutting edge anime to compete with upcoming brands such as Fuse, Sci-Fi Ani-Mondays, and Anime Network?
1. What's Fuse?
2. Why do networks have to compete over anime? No matter how popular it is, no one needs to throw money out the window to appease anime fans.
Seriously, where's Sean Akins and Mike Lazzo when you need them. I still love those guys, but where the hell have they been lately?? :o
They're still there.
Mike and Sean are at Adult Swim.
I think he meant, why haven't they been doing something constructive, not where have they been physically. Also he was refering to all of CN and last time I checked Adult Swim was a part of CN.

1. What's Fuse?
Digital cable network that played music videos. Early commercials bashed MTV for not playing music, now reality programming is present on the channel.

Fuse is a music video channel that's been around for a few years, which has just recently been playing such anime as Ergo Proxy and Tenjho Tenghe. Yes there reality programming stinks, but their anime is good in my opinion....
Why would they buy anime shows to appease anime fans? Well, why not. That's what they did with Tenchi and Gundam, and those were good anime...I mean if you know their history, that's always what they've kind of done...

If you count the recent shows that include "Out of Jimmy's Head" then yes, The network is in the dumps.

Hmmm. I'll keep an eye out. Also, isn't Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad coming to Adult Swim?
CN's upcoming crop of shows (excluding Jimmy) are all very different in the way they look and apparently on how they are going to play out, so I'm not too scared of where the network is going to end up. At least these shows can push standards buttons a little bit more then other networks, something CN should really take advantage of (the people who are watching and the demographics they want will never match up not matter how hard they try).
Adult Swim's been getting better, I don't know why anyone would complain about that.
And Toonami.... well... it's there. I remember loving that block, now it's just background noise to whatever I'm doing.

I would feel a lot better if Saul, Tim, Eric, Jimmy, and Blake were gone.

Cartoon Network has more freedom interms of Standards and Practices than say Disney. For one, Toon Disney tends to censor out anything like building destruction due to any similarites from September 11th 2001.
Yes when the event was fresh in our minds, it was the right thing to do, but now too much of 9/11 censorship is tedious and borders on patronizing.
Back when Dragonball Z was on the Great Saiyaman Saga, the episode Gohan's First Date was delayed due to the episode featuring a building on fire. It was however aired much later when the season was in repeats.
Another instance is Gargoyle's City Of Stone Part 1. The Weird Sisters comment on Goliath showing mercy to an enemy:
Goliath: I will never be like this terrorist.
Weird Sister: We were not talking about this terrorist.
Imagine the same dialogue, but without the word terrorist.
Whereas Justice League "Injustice For All" made it quite clear in dialogue that Lex Luthor sold weapons to terrorist. No attempts to hide or sugarcoat it.

You know what's funny? Terrorists are those who create terror, yet we as a people have given new meaning to it.
*Everyone at TZ stares*
Um, uh, back on topic: CN needs to wake up and smell the coffee and bring back the originals that made it popular in the first place.

CN needs to wake up and smell the coffee and bring back the originals that made it popular in the first place....Or at least start bringing in a wider variety of animated series besides the Big 5 (those being Fosters, Kids Next Door, Gym Partner, Camp Lazlo and Billy & Mandy, respectively) and anime. I'm not saying that Cartoon Network should just forget about the Cartoon-Cartoons entirely, but they can't just show reruns of their canceled shows forever, especially not at a peak viewing hour.

Actually I was talking about the comment that was made that the demographic they were shooting for not matching up with the demographic they attract.
