So far from the blogs I've seen, the new apple lineup includes
Shuffle in a new set of colors, including red
The Fatty nano rumor has been confirmed. The new nano is basically a shorter ipod video: same screen size. Plus, a limited version of coverflow
Ipod video is now the ipod classic. New metal case (ala nano), new ui and new sized: 80 and 160GB
iPod touch = iPhone - phone. built in wifi, safari browser, youtube, wifi itunes plus special interaction with Starbuck's wifi: you'll be able to see what songs Starbucks is playing and be able to buy it on the spot.
iPhone now only comes in 8GB at a price cut: 399.99http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/05/steve-jobs-live-apples-the-beat-goes-on-special-event/

No.
Wow. I got my 30GB iPod video on my birthday almost 9 months ago, and it took Apple this long to introduce its replacement (not counting iPhone; not enough GB)? I'm impressed and happy. I wonder if the next iTunes/iPod update will include the new ui/coverflow.

my sister just got the Nano, and it was like the last one in stock. the workers told her that they stoped making the Nano and will be releasing the newest version soon.
Now we know what it is.

Seriously? Didn't they just "remaster" the Nano less than a year ago to give it longer battery life and a slightly different look?
Apple moves fast. I got my Nano roughly 20 months ago and, not only is the Nano style I bought gone, but the slightly revised style that came after it is also.

It took longer
The last official update(If you exclude the small update in November with an updated search function with brighter screen/battery life) for the original iPod was September 2005, excluding iPhone of course
So anyway, here's the scoop from MacRumors!!
iPhone: Asta La Vista to the 4Gigabyte iPhone, as the 8GB is now 200 dollars cheaper. This is also the reason why Apple dropped 7.5 Dollars in the Stock Market..
iPod Shuffle: New Colors, same Price
iPod Nano: Can you say gutted? Not only Do we have all new colors and Video Playback(along with being shorter and chubbier), we got cover flow, new games(Vortex), and a 2inch screen, We got the 4Gig goin for 149(200 for the original version) and 199 for the 8Gig(250)
iPod Classic: iPod Video + More Space + Less Prices. 80 Gigs for 250 and 160 Gigs for 250. This does have cover flow, and is thinner than the current iPod
iPod Touch. iPhone minus the Phone Part. Internet and iPod features galore, and somewhat has colors.
The Two Things i have to complain about
1. Poor Space on Nano/Touch. I was hoping for the 40GB that was rumored by thinksecret, obviously not. So that's why i'm still debating the Classic, thoguh, not much
2. No Beatles Music. They've added John,, Paul, Ringo, and some of George(Traveling Wildburys), but no Beatles. It's been rumored like crazy in the past year, fro ma Super Bowl Announcement to a Tie in with Love to the Ketynotes showing Beatles music to the new interface vid discovered a coupel months ago with the Love Soundtrack to Paul playign a 1-2 song set after they keynote

I'm pretty sure they're just waiting for the tracks to get remastered now (or something along those lines). I can't fathom on why its taking so long since its been about a year that the lawsuit has settled.
Shiny factor aside, I cannot see getting a iPod Touch. Personally having 27gigs of music and 4gigs of video for my 5th gen iPod for the passed couple years has been wonderful. So downgrade 60gigs to 16gigs all for the sake of shininess and web surfing just doesn't seem worth it. Its difficult to say how well the screen would work without some added buttons on the side. I'd think it'd be too cumbersome having to pull it out of my pocket and look at the screen just to change a track or the volume. It honestly looks like its just an iPhone for people who don't want the contract. "Babies first Smartphone" if you will.
160gb iPod Classic (terrible name) how ever, well that just makes me want Christmas to come sooner. I could store my archived music and for said music to be copied and played on it. Which makes me very ecstatic.

The ipod touch looks amazingly cool. My friend was ranting off to me yesterday about how much he wanted to get one. But pretty much it's just the phone all over again D;
Even the design is the same.

I'd like to get the iPod Classic 80 GB if the cases designed for the 5.5G iPod video work with the new model.

Well, it's not a $200 reimbursement, but it is $100 toward any purchase from the Apple store.
An open letter to iPhone owners from Steve Jobs (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/openiphoneletter/)

The price drop isn't that surprising, if you think about it. In fact, I know the reason why they dropped it was because of the iPod Touch.
You sell a product for $299/399 and add a phone and some other stuff and have it at $599? No way. No one would buy that. They had to lower the price. Because no one would buy an iPod above $400 and you can't have phone functionally be an additional $200.
So yeah... Doesn't really matter to me, the 8GB iPod Touch will be mine this Christmas... :)

No, this is for anyone who bought an iPhone without receiving a rebate or "any other consideration".

All signs point to "Within two weeks, full rebate, given Apple's policy. Own an iPhone from before two weeks ago? $100 rebate".
... and now I don't know what to get with my iPhone rebate. If an orange Shuffle popped up in the refurbished, maybe. Any good car adapters?
... need to see if my new car has a cassette deck...

Not much you can buy for just $100 from Apple....I would buy an iphone case or something. Shuffles are cool too. I still think it's crazy apple gave iphone owners anything IMHO.

$100 worth of songs? Put it towards Leopard so you just have to pay $30? I 'unno.
Edit: Ugh. To anyone who's wondering, I replied to a post with my above comment, and later retracted it, because I was mistaked.
Then I forgot I posted it, like, three minutes later, because I am retarded... -_-;

You also used "mistaked" in a sentence.
On topic, I really want an iPod Touch and it's taking a significant amount of willpower not to preorder one at the moment.
