For those that don't know what Patlabor is, think a police department with big old Gundams patrolling the streets.
"Patlabor: The Mobile Police" premieres February 18 on Toonami: Reactor, joining Record of Lodoss Wars, Star Blazers, and The Harlock Saga as online-exclusive Toonami series. The series, distributed domestically by Central Park Media, has been gaining a massive fanbase in recent years, partly thanks to its movies airing on Encore's Action Channel.
In the Tokyo of the future, society depends on artificial workers known as "labors." But when this advanced technology falls into criminal hands, the police deploy an elite force of patrol labors--or "patlabors"--to fight back.
Toonami Reactor, the online extension of the on-air Toonami franchise offers popular action-adventure episodes on demand while demonstrating the potential for interactive entertainment. The program presents enhanced videos that allow users to view complete episodes while exclusive information about the characters and the storyline is simultaneously displayed on a split screen. Toonami Reactor features full-length episodes and several unique games.
