Once again, Superbad takes the lead with $18 million, despite a 45% drop from last week. I think it may be safe to say that Judd Apatow is now officially Hollywood's go-to man when you want raunchy comedy. Pretty good, especially since critics seem to be agreeing that his movies are worth it.

The Bourne Ultimatum is at number 2 with $12 million and a cumulative domestic total of $185 million. Expect this to break the $200 million mark in the next week or two.

Rush Hour 3 is in third place with another gross about $12 million. It's broken the blockbuster mark of $100 million, but with it's high budget and drop rates, don't expect this to make enough profit to warrant a fourth film.

Mr. Bean's Holiday, in somewhat limited release, makes it to number four, surprisingly high given how the original Mr. Bean movie flopped. Jet Li's War rounds out the top 5.

Other new releases this week were The Nanny Diaries (in 6th place, with $7 million), and in one of the biggest disappointments this week, Resurrecting the Champ with a mere $1.8 million, despite the highest Tomatometer of this week's releases (still only 60% fresh, though). One wonders if Sam Jackson's star has fallen. This opening is even worse than this year's earlier flop Black Snake Moan, and that opened in less theaters. Yes, he did relatively well in 1408, but after several disappointments these past few years, Hollywood might be looking at him more pessimisticly. Hopefully Iron Man and The Spirit will improve his status.
