I notice this Fall Jetix/Toon Disney is getting the rights to Warner Bros. Batman the Animated Series and Superman the Animated Series.
Do you think Toon Disney could get the rights to rerun other 1990's Warner Bros. produced cartoons if Cartoon Network's Boomerang can't get the rights? - Mostly Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, and Pinky and the Brain. (I know these shows have done a few Disney related parodies in some episodes, and Nickelodeon and Nicktoons reran these for a couple years 2000-2005; and since these 3 are under the Steven Spielberg Presents banner, Steven Spielberg did create/produce Who Framed Roger Rabbit for Disney/Touchtone in 1988 which had cameos by some Warner Bros. Looney Tunes stars - Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Yosemite Sam)

Keep it moving folks, old news here, nothing to see. Same ol', same ol'.
Just kidding. Seriously, it's been talked about.
EDIT: Oops, didn't read the rest! It's not surprising, ABC, Toon Disney, ABC Family, and Disney Channel aired some WB Animated/ live action movies. Soap Net has The OC and One Tree Hill (WB). Just like Viacom's MTV Networks airing Time Warner owned shows in the past and current time. And Turner treated like an idiot by their own cousin Warner Bros. is sad and babyfied. They had a good relationship until the remake of CN, which was bad, and WB stopped caring for Turner throughout the harsh years. Long story short, Fir Batman and Superman on Jetix, it's like Fox Kids all over again, having Batman: TAS. And Superman is great also, but shame on CN for their misdirection of getting those properties.

Yeah I don't really watch TD anymore but I still have a hard time grasping Jackie Chan, Digimon and the occasional Pokemon movie on a channel with Disney in its name. This doesn't surprise me at all

Maybe Warner Bros. cartoons previously aired on FOX Kids and Kids WB could spice Toon Disney!

I'd say there are 2 chances of that happening: slim and none. You could hope that one day TD will show Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, but anything else is fantasy.

Toon Disney airing Warner Bros. cartoons and less Disney cartoons.
Cartoon Network airing non-cartoons and one Warner Bros. cartoon (Teen Titans . . . seriously, that's the only WB cartoon that's on The Network).
I'm half expecting Nickelodeon to pick up old Disney cartoons like Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles by this rate.
It's a nutso cuckoo world, I'll tell ya.

No. Xialion Showdown is still on there also.Okay, then there are TWO WB shows on Cartoon Network, the former exclusive home of Looney Tunes and countless other Warner Bros. Animation titles.

I am more interested if Oban Star Racer, A.T.O.M. and Get Ed will air CN. Since I don't have TD I don't know how they ended. Plus it would'nt the first time Jetix shows have on CN(Battle B-Daman).

When are Batman:The Animated Series and Superman supposed to start airing on Jetix?
September or October 2007.
I also hope Toon Disney's Jetix picks up "Monster Allergy" which aired on Kids WB for some months in the 2006-2007 season.

Why would Toon Disney want to pick up a series that bombed on another network?

September 22. The same day the new seasons of The Batman and Legion of Superheroes start.
See a connection? ;)

September 22. The same day the new seasons of The Batman and Legion of Superheroes start.Completely and totally wrong info there, Einstein.
There's an introductory three-episode mini-thon of Superman on Friday Sept. 28 at 7 pm, and the same for Batman on Sunday Sept. 30.
What's left unknown is how they'll be worked into the standard Jetix schedule, which should be made clear once the October schedules are released.

Monster Allergy is a hit in Europe, on Disney, of all channels. That's probably his only logic.

Eh, only a week off
But what I said after that still applies. Kinda'. These two shows starting less than a week after the new seasons of the newer versions of these shows seems a little conspicuous.

I wonder if other Toon Disney channels and/or regular Disney channels in foreign countries ever carried Warner Bros. Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and/or Pinky and the Brain.
USA once carried Disney's Gargoyles.

Probably not, but I couldn't say for certain. Seems highly unlikely though.

^Precisely. TD's recent acquisition of Superman and Batman's respective animated series is the exception, not the norm, and that's a recent event. WB and Disney have been rivals for years, decades, and just because the odd movie or TV show from one side has occasionally been placed on one of the others' stations doesn't mean that Disney and WB are going to start holding hands and spooning underneath the full moon, leading to a WB/Disney merger into one giant channel that carries shows from both studios. I'd say that'll happen the same day you'll be able to locate the Easter Bunny's house with a GPS tracking system.
Also, except for Tiny Toons, all of those shows are on DVD now. As I said before: why would a cable channel (Disney or Warner) just air these shows when they can make more money selling them to the populace via a major retailer?
I'm not saying that it couldn't ever happen, but I'd say the chances of TTA, A! or P&tB ever airing on a Disney owned channel are VERY, VERY unlikely.

I just really don't see that happening. Ever. Batman and Superman is one thing. The Tiny Toons? Animaniacs? That's another matter altogether.

Now I'm not saying that they need to bring back every old program, but the fact is that they do air some DVD programs already so I don't think that's the biggest way to determine whether a show will air or not.
Gargoyles was still on the network when the DVDs were planned.
Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers and Tale Spin are on the air despite previous and upcoming releases on DVD. There's also Ed Edd and Eddy.
Not saying they need to bring back shows by the minute, just that I don't think DVD sales are the top reason. Otherwise why hasn't Bonkers or Hercules being planned for sets or at least airing on TD?

Given the age of the TAS shows and the fact that they're on DVD, TD may have gotten a deal on them. For WBA, it's just a little bit of gravy on top of all the money that has to have been made on 'em by now. Plus advertising for the DVD.

The only way you'll ever see any Warner Brothers series such as Tiny Toons, Animanaics or Pinky & the Brain on Toon Disney would be if Disney pays Warner Brothers for them, the way they did with Superman and Batman but since I own the DVDs of Animaniacs, I personally don't care if TD or anyone else airs them or not. And unlike certain people here (cough-dth-cough), it doesn't matter to me what channel I see them on, as long as I can still see them. WB shows airing on a Disney owned channel isn't important to me at all.

Even the main mouse of the Magic Kingdom never had a primetime slot on Toon Disney. Guess you needed a pair of mice (one's a genius and the other's insane) to shake up things. Strange days indeed.
At least the opening won't have Toon Disney's logo plastered all over items unlike the last place the show aired. What was that all about, really?

Yeah, although I'm willing to bet that for various reasons not all the episodes will air, like that one with Brain getting hooked on cigarettes. Don't really see much point in airing these when you can get all the episodes uncut and logo free on DVD.

Wonder how much Disney pay to have the rights of Batman and Superman, and on a side note even Pinky and the Brain.
For SOME ODD reason it will not "Feel" like Disney when they are airing Batman or Superman. I always view them as Warner Brothers ete.
Is this something like HBO always airing Subzero the Batman movie ?? Because the last thing I want to see is Disney doing something crazy to Batman, I dont know, edit all the punchings and kick, remove any blood by computers, edited the COOL opening with the WB logo(How will they do that??)
And taking off Batman's cowl and replacing it with one of thsos Micky Mouse hats lol. All by computers of couse.

I overheard that Disney has plans to do exactly that. I would stay inside after dark and avoid traveling alone for a few weeks; you know how Disney prefers to silence those who learn of their sinister plans.
...
Seriously?
This is the best premise to a thread ever. A bunch of people stating that Disney will never air Warner series with a level of certainness that makes its look like they work for the industry, and the schedule all of a sudden shows P&TB on prime time. Hilarious.

They aired an episode of 101 Dalmations with Cruella trying to get off a smoking habit, and they have aired Gargoyle's Deadly Force for quite some time, so I don't see why this would be more of a problem.
Don't really see much point in airing these when you can get all the episodes uncut and logo free on DVD.
Sure, but it helps to get more people interested in said shows. You know, the ones who didn't see the show when it was still recent.
Besides, there are plenty of shows with DVDs which still air on other channels. Friends, being a prime example. Futurama when the renewal wasn't planned.
