I'm surprised there isn't one of these up already.
Well, according to the official website, season 2 is a month away on September 24th.
I also read in TVGuide that Nichelle Nichols, the actress who played Uhura on "Star Trek" is going to guest star as Micha's grand-aunt: http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Tv-Guide-News/Trek-S-Nichelle/800020534
Anyone else have news and speculation?
And is anyone else getting the DVD set next week?

I know Kristen Bell will guest star in several episodes, which is good news as shes hot and a cool actress, she should fit the show's tone.

no i'm pretty sure it will air half way thru during the Hiatius
The reason given for the spin-off was to remove the mid-season hiatus, which caused the ratings to falter when Heroes returned in Season 1.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes:_Origins#_note-cnn) NBC's chief, Kevin Reilly (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Reilly), told reporters on May 14 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_14), 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007), "We've got something I call the 'bulk-up challenge' for next year, which is trying to stay more consistent in our scheduling for the audience. We asked [Heroes creator] Tim Kring (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Kring) to come up with an idea, and what I love is not only did we bulk up with 30 hours next season, but also a whole new idea which I think is going to take the show to the next level." While not all scheduling details have been hashed out, Reilly says, "I'll tell you one thing you won't see is Origins peppered throughout, I think that would be difficult for the audience to navigate."[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes:_Origins#_note-2)
At the 2007 Comic-Con International (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic-Con_International), it was announced that Kevin Smith (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Smith) would write and direct the first episode of the spinoff, as he was already a fan of Heroes.[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes:_Origins#_note-3)
