I remember seeing adds on NN like a year or so ago. They came few and far between.

Two years ago, Nicktoons Network (when they still had the "splat" logo) became ad-supported. I don't know why Viacom made Nicktoons commercial-free again.

They didn't. They just don't get a lot of ads. But you'll most likely see them during 3HM new episode premieres.
