Martha should be sainted for not murdering the Doctor after everything this trip puts her through. It was this two-parter that really convinced me that Martha's a stronger character (personality-wise) than Rose.

Love David Tennant's acting as "John Smith."

Yeah Tennant's acting was incredible!

I totally didn't see that cliffhanger coming. Great two partner...better than the Dalek one I'd say! The little girl was creepy hehehe and the way the Doctor resolved things was just bone chilling. The bit at the end was touching...do you know if it was an actor or a real veteran in that final scene?

scarecrows.
they HAD TO BE SCARECROWS.
My goodness, those things scare the crap out of me. Really. I mean, add in some clowns and we could have a horror movie going.
The Dr. needs to add one more thing to his list he left Martha.
'make sure I don't fall for anymore blond women'.
Martha X Dr. There is no Rose or Nurse or other random chick who happens to appear. Come on Dr. She is there. She likes you. Go for it ;_;
Every time the Dr. screams I get chills. He's so good at what he does. Amazing actor.
Wonderful episode, though. I hate that we have to wait awhile for the second part.

Funny how this arc doesn't involve Mr. Saxon, and yet Mr. Saxon involves HIMSELF in the post-arc events. (Namely by using the same watch to become Human.)

I said it before and I'll say it again...great episode. The second half of series three is consistently strong, but I think this is the high point.

I was watching this with my extended family in Glasgow and having a fantastic time mimicking how Baines the Edwardian Public Schoolboy reacted to coming across a device from another world.

"I say! I appear to have come across an invisible wall!"

"I don't suppose it is some kind of flying contraption?"

"I do believe it to be some form of doodlebug!"

Great times, great times. :D Especially when my exceedingly Scottish uncle cheerfully rubbed my Anglo-chauvinist dad's face in David Tennent's nationality.

I loved how 'otherworldly' they make the Doctor out to be in these episodes, in contrast to the loveably absent-minded Mr. Smith. It's something the show has tended to skip around in the past, and it's rather gratifying to see them revel in it in this part of the series.
