What does Bruce Wayne do about alcohol?

Since Bruce Wayne is a billionaire playboy, he goes to parties and stuff where they serve champagne and wine. I don't think he just "pretends" to drink it. So how does he take in alcohol without hampering his ability to be Batman? Counter-agents maybe?

He'll either dump it out, replace it with 7up or water, or just not drink it at all. He never drinks becuase he believes it'll hamper his abilities.

They mentioned that in Batman:TDKR, Gordon says something about him swishing around ginger ale.

It would be tough to be "Gotham's Most Eligible Bachelor" and never drink- but I guess he doesn't. Drunk Batman. That would be weird. Yeah, he probably doesn't hide it, he just drinks Ginger Ale.

Maybe he's got enough confidence and public support that he can not drink and still be considered a big 'ol playboy.

You always see him with a glass in his hand...normally full,lol. No one probably notices whether he drinks it or not, the girls are too busy flirting with him. He's probably too busy pretending to flirt back to drink at all. He could get away with one glass though, I would think.

Maybe he just claims he's the dsesignated driver....it's just that no one knows that he's driving the Batmobile...(yeah, yeah, I know Alfred drives him around...failed comic attempt, disregard)
I would think, if he's worked up an immunity to all the various gases routinely fired at him, he would also be able to work up one to alcohol. I always assumed it just didn't have any effect on him...he's too in control of his body to allow alcohol to ruin him.

I'm sure most people who meet Bruce Wayne are worried about the impression they're making, not what drink he's holding. And even if that weren't the case, he's taken on villains much bigger than peer pressure, so what's the problem? I say let the man drink his Ginger Ale, he frikkin deserves it.

to be honest it wouldnt suprise me at all if he gets a drink @ the begining of parties and sorta fake sips it all evening wtihout actually consuming it all-- just claiming its a fresh drink anytime anyone asks..

I remember he did start drinking in TDKR but not until after he stopped being Batman.
