Zap2it says D&P will return September 1 when 2 new episodes will air at 9 and 9:30am.:) But, I hope Dynamite Action Squad doesn't mess it up:sad:

As long as Dynamite Action Squad isn't too annoying I'll be happy.

Sweet! the 2 episode titles are on serebii already. I hope the live action segments don't cause a delay in the program. I learned that the hard way when I tried to record avatar during Slime time friday night only to figure out only 15 minutes was taped because of the dumb slime games....

*responding to the poster is probably categorized under "responding to rule violations", secondly don't forget about the "exclamation point" button beside the post number*
And relating: yay for returns, but I never really started watching Diamond/Pearl (um VIZ ... Pokemon Advanced Challenge/Battle dvd sets? PUSA ... Battle Frontier dvds?)
That's how I'd prefer to watch D/P since I never have time to watch the reruns from the beginning.

PUSA is still releasing the Battle Frontier DVD's and Diamond & Pearl DVD's through VIZ Media, from what I understand.
I'm excited to see how the new D&P premieres do. It'll be interesting to see if the weekday premieres or the once a week premieres do better for CN, but I'd rather have them air one new episode a week, instead of two, so they don't have to start endless reruns again. They could also then slowly add the episodes onto the weekday run instead of worrying about where to place them.
OK, the thread's cleaned up now. Please continue your previous discussions.

I'm wondering if the marathon will have the 2 episodes from that Saturday on it since it is two days after they premiere on CN.

Yep, they'll be there. FYI, the new episode titles are:
Oh Do You Know the Puffin Plan!*
Getting the Pre-Contest Titters! *Who the hell thought of that?

Who the hell thought of both of them? They both sound...well..they could be better.

It's "Poffin Plan", not "Puffin Plan". Poffin is from the games, it's like PokéBlock bread.

Poffin Plan is obviously a mockery of Muffin Man though, and Pre-Contest Titters is a reference to the Pre-Contest Jitters.

No worries. I figured the title wouldn't make much sense if one thought it was "Puffin Plan".

And puns in the episode titles surprise you at this point? ;)

Puffin Plan sounds more like Muffin Man than Poffin Plan, but I can only imagine the uproar from concerned parents. "Are you trying to teach our kids it's okay to puff bread. You realize this could lead them to puff cigarettes or drugs, which could lead them to cancer, which could lead them to death. I warned everyone that Poke'Mon are evil, and this title is the perfect way to illustrate how evil they are."

I suppose so, but overreaction aside, "Puffin Plan" wouldn't make any sense in the context of the episode and the episode was never titled as such to begin with - a puffin (puff-in) is a type of shorebird, Poffin (Poh-fin) is Pokébread. You're making it sound like Puffin was in the title at some point and changed due to uproar.

Um, no, I'm pointing out that I could imagine why they spell it as Poffin instead of Puffin. Now that you mention it though, for all we know it was supposed to be puffin in the games and changed so they can't have parents complaining.

And again, "Puffin" makes no sense in the context. I have absolutely no idea where you're getting that "Puffin" was ever involved in this at any stage beyond a typo a few posts back.

Simply put, puffin sounds more like muffin, and the games, as you have said, use poffin bread as a type of Poke' bread. For all we know the literal translation was puffin bread, but they decided to use poffin bread instead of puffin bread to avoid complaints. Unless you have some type of evidence which shows that PUSA and Nintendo used a literal translation, then this error could be an actual change to keep the crazy soccer moms happy. Then again, it wouldn't make much sense if someone looked up what a puffin was in the dictionary:
puffin- any of several seabirds (genera Fratercula and Lunda) of the northern hemisphere having a short neck and a deep grooved parti-colored laterally compressed bill.

No. It's specifically written as PO-FU-IN in katakana, romanized as Pofin and translated as Poffin for the American games. Puffin was absolutely, positively never a part of the equation at any stage.

The first four characters of the second line are PO-FU-I-N in katakana.

That's all I was asking about, since Puffin sounds more like Muffin than Poffin. I also wasn't sure since some letters can be translated multiple ways, such as Zolo and Zoro on One Piece.
