anyone else watching Claymore? I love this anime; Its caused me to lose intrest in the new naruto eppys and bleach. Its fast pace, has an intresting story and is all about half-demon women who fight demons with...what else...claymores of course! :anime:
Thats a bad explaination of the series though. This anime really is the difinition of what a fighting anime should be like. I also just love the OP and ending! :anime:

I've been watching; at first only because it was like "Berserk Lite" but after things got more involved with the organization Clare is with the show became interesting in its own right.
Very good show over all.

Yeah, I'm wondering about that too, since the show is rapidly catching up to the manga (The manga is still ongoing, at least it was the last time I bought a copy of Monthly Shonen Jump, which was in April. It's released once a month, like Full Metal Alchemist, so it takes a while to get through a single story arc.). The story in the manga really hasn't progressed too far beyond the "War in the North" arc. Maybe they're planning to go the "Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle" route, give us a 24-26 episode season one with a season two sometime in the future when there's more of a backlog of chapters to adapt.
And let me just say that I am really looking forward to seeing a certain scene animated, and it should be in episode 20 or 21 (depending on how much they pad the story).

I was really surprised that I'd like this show. At first I thought that it was just about fighting but I soon saw that this series has a lot of heart. I can't wait to watch more.

I believe its planned to have 26 eppys. I think that the end of sesson 1 and I imagine this show is popular enough to get a second sesson latter on when their are more manga chapters to follow. This anime follows the manga very well so I don't see them making filler.
I check by local borders store and they have the volumes up to the start of the war in the north. I check them and the anime really does follow the manga to the letter. Thats great because the pacing is the best I've seen in a fighting anime.

Just starting it, but so far its been pretty good. (Loved hearing the bagpipes play during the first episode.) It does seem a little odd, though. Looks to be a mostly female cast...and yet, none of them look like bimbos or are especially well endowed. Just doesn't feel like an anime... Not a complaint (well, mostly not) just an observation.
Although having random guards being able to 'roof jump' does help re-establish the anime feel. ...I rather like those guards. (From ep 3. Like I said, I'm just starting...)

It's good to see a show where the female characters aren't either incompetent or vehicles for constant fanservice. It starts out pretty slow, but then hits you with a shocker (well, quasi-shocker) in Episode 8, and continues at a good clip from there.
My money's on Miria being the first of the Claymore Club to die.

I hear it's exceptional, but at the moment, I don't plan on following it.
Though, the OP is cool. Anything by Nightmare is nice.

It just occurred to me Raki has more screwed-up luck with women then Kai from Blood+.
I know this is a suicide mission but the Claymore's organization just lost over 15% of their troops is one ep., yesh.

Hahaha, that was a good one. :anime:
The next few eppys have a great fight so make sure to watch them. Don't worry about the organization becuase their always making more claymores from lost girls that they buy from slavery. It won't suprise me if they steal girls as well. They certainly don't have any morals.

Well last ep. (at least from this season).
Episode 26 itself felt like a bit of a let down in the end it was O.K. and all but still felt like a let down; I don't know if I'm disappointed or relieved that Raki is still a whinny largely ineffective wuss.
Over all good series I hope it gets another season.
Doesn't the manga pick up with a new #47?

The manga actually took a different direction. I believe the anime's adaptation of the manga changed around episode 22 or 23.
Yes, there is a new # 47 after the Northern War storyline. All the Claymores who survived the war are considered to be dead by the organization. Most of the Claymores have been replaced as a matter of fact.
If they could find a way to adapt the manga without changing it, I would watch a second season. I think it's unfortunate that the first season was only twenty-six episodes. Isn't there enough material to have made it longer? I know twenty-six episodes is common for an anime series, but if the ratings are good, and enough material is available to put together a longer show, I would say go for it. This was a great anime, and it will be missed, at least until it's dubbed.

No. The manga's been running for about six years, and after six months the anime is almost caught up to the manga.

Sad, I enjoyed the anime but the ending wasn't as good because they changed it. I would have prefered a cliff hanger and a second season but I don't think that will happen. :crying:
