The animation looks to be quite an improvement over the last Appleseed movie, but it's hard to tell in such a rapid-cut clip. Still, it looks like we'll finally see the human face of Briareos. That's pretty cool, but they gave up too much of that in the trailer, so it could be someone else.

Ive accually got the original Appleseed VHS tape that i got from a friend of mine last year, and i saw the original after i saw the new one but really thought it wasnt as good as the movie that was recently made, but it was a good OVA regardless.

Now i wonder how this new one will be about, the original was just Deunan and Briareos after Hitomi i think is liked to some kinda weapon, then there was the mercenary that had that big tank coming in the city and Deunan and Braireos stop it. The second Film revolved around Deunan being captured by E.S.W.A.T and was reunited with Braireos, and the big mobile weapons at the end who try to get Appleseed or something as much as i can remember.

So kinda curious how this movie is going to be based off in the story, mmm.

And i just looked up Braireos name and turns out he is named after the Hecatonchires of Greek mythology, interesting...

This film and ADV's 5 Centimeters Per Second are all supposedly going to be bundled together with a couple other films for a theatrical release of some in late 2007, or atleast that's what ADV said at SDCC.
