After an incredibly long run of 11 months, and a whopping 13 episodes, Mr. Meaty has now been pulled from Nicktoons Network, in addition to Nickelodeon. Who would have guessed that a show with grotesque-looking puppets playing with raw meat wouldn't appeal to ten year olds?

Didn't this series get fairly decent ratings at one point, though? Or was that mainly the first few weeks, probably due to trying it out and/or morbid curiosity?

Anyway, I'm not crying, as I never liked the show. Sucks for those who did, though.

Just about everyone guessed that.

it lasted like a year, though, which is way too long.

For what it's worth I actually kinda liked Mr. Meaty.

The only episode I truly liked was the one with the zombies. The others kind of fell flat.

Mr. Meaty was probably trying to pull in an older demographic much like the way Invader Zim tried to.

Basically. It did well for a couple of weeks(mainly in the 9-14 demographic) but, I guess it tetered off.

Good ridance, although flcl_wizard won't be happy.

That is if he joins in Toonzone, or still use his new account, Toadette2009.

You'd be right on that, as I mention Nick/the creators mentioned trying to appease to the early teen auidence a bit more for the show for it's "darker" humor and all. Guess it didn't work though.

Well yeah it started fairly strong, but so has pretty much every other Nick show (the only ones I can think of that didn't are Catscratch which we haven't heard from in like a year and Naked Brothers Band which actually seems to be doing well). Nick can get strong numbers for a premiere but most shows rarley can keep the numbers which is why they get cancelled after only a season. Espically animated shows nowadays (Nick has more lienancy on live action shows since they're cheaper/they're trying to build up live action stars like Disney does).

I have to say I'm glad to see the show off the air. Hopefully for good and hopefully without any second season popping up. I've said it before and said it again: Mr. Meaty's one of the few shows that creeped me out just looking at it, and defintley not in a good way.

When I first heard about Mr.Meaty I wanted to see it because something this strange just had to be funny. The first episode I saw was lame, but I kept watching after that to see if it would get better. It never did.

Eh, Shows that shorts always can't make it to Full Shows

I see a return for Meaty on NN, just rotation though/premire new shorts before aired on Nick

It's gonna be on again on Nick at 8:00 and 9:30 PM, but I don't really care.

Agreed.

The show should've stayed as shorts.

Haven't seen that ep, but it just sounds so wrong, but not by the show's standards, of course.

I saw the premiere and an episode or two after that. Did not like it at all. I'm glad Nick got smart and dropped Mr. Sucky - er, Meaty from its lineup.

good riddance to bad rubbish. this show sucked worse than the digitally redone version of star wars from south park. the shorts were pretty funny, but the show stunk so bad, even pepe le pew thought it stunk. bottom line, the best decision nick has done in a while.

I don't really care about this news; I have all the episodes on my iPod anyways.

False alarm I guess. It returns on the 20th. (Holds head and falls on knees) Noooooooo!!!!! Now that I think about it what on Earth makes them think this show is worth keeping alive over Catscratch? Atleast Catscratch is animated and uses more types of humor aside from characters who eat too many beans!

you are right catscratch is a way better show than mr meaty. Mr Meaty doesn't have much humor and catscratch does. Nick just gave up on Catscratch and didn't think it even have humor

Oh boy am I mad at Nick for not airing Catscratch on either of their networks, and airing this show (which only has 12 AIRED EPISODES!!!) flipping 5 DAYS A WEEK at 11pm on the Nicktoons Network!

Let's not go overboard. Neither Mr. Meaty nor Catscratch got good ratings. I do agree that Catscratch was better than Mr. Meaty, though, but not by much.

I don't think either of them deserve to be on Nick or NN.

No, it's 'The X's' is the one that doesn't deserve to be on NN. Catscratch reminded me of The Angry Beavers, so I liked it. I'm sure if My Dad The Rock Star can stay on NN for a long time, so can Catscratch And I'm not going "overboard" because I'm suggesting that NN air a show that you don't like.

And Catscratch actually got very high ratings at one point in 2005-2006, BION.

It seemed like you went overboard. IF YOU WANT TO SOUND CALM THEN DON'T USE CAPITALS AND EXTRA EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!

Just a bit of sarcasm, but it sounded as if you were having a temper tantrum.
