Either these have been selling well, or Disney has really low sales expectations for these DVD sets (but consdiering how they dropped Gargoyles like a rock, the former is most likely the case), but the 3rd Volume of ducktales and the Second Volume of Talespin are due November 13

Nope. Both of our threads appeared within a few seconds of each other. The mods can go ahead and delete mine.
I didn't think these shows would make it this far, especially after how the last Gargoyles set Disney put out underperformed.
However, the situation doesn't look goot for the Third Rescue Rangers set (there would only be 16 episodes on a third Chip 'n' Dale volume. Disney should've split up the episodes more equally, like Warner did for Pinky and the Brain)

Since the Ducktales set is going in production order, and since Vol 3 goes beyond the initial 65 episode first season, does that mean that we're getting Gizmoduck/Bubba episodes before the 5 part mini-series that introduced them?

Well then if that's such a big issue (which it shouldn't be) the same thing will end up happening with most of the other shows. I'd be pretty angry if that was to happen, since we'd have incomplete sets of everything.

Why is this so important if we're getting the episodes either way?

The inevitable and paramount question is, what happened to Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers: Volume 3? It seems to me that the most likely answer is that they simply delayed it. Talespin got bumped from August to November, perhaps we'll see Rescue Rangers appear again next year. Maybe they'll start a third wave earlier in the year, put it with The Tick's final release in August, or put it with Ducktales's final volume next November. The only reason it would be canceled would be if the last one sold poorly. I could see Ducktales outperforming it, but not Talespin, so I doubt that happened. Also, I don't think Disney would shelve a release just because it would have fewer episodes. They're fine releasing The Tick in two-disc sets, so why would this be any different?
Disney should've split up the episodes more equally, like Warner did for Pinky and the Brain)As long as they do release it, I strongly prefer Disney's method. Warner could have saved me money if they put Pinky and the Brain (and Animaniacs for that matter) on as few discs as possible. In the case of Animaniacs, they could have actually fit all the episodes in each five-disc set on four discs. They didn't do that so it looked like you're getting more for you cash. Disney's method saves me money by using less raw material. Of course, getting all the episodes is most important, so if Disney's method did prevent me from getting the final episode then I'm certainly not happy. However, they'd be stupid to not release it just because it is uneven. If it doesn't get released, I'd bet there's a 90% it's due to poor sales, a 5% chance it's due to the uneven release, and a 5% chance of something else.

I think with Rescue Rangers, since it's only going to be a 2 disc release for the final set, they're probably waiting to pair it up with the final TaleSpin release, which would aslo be a 2 disc release.
The 4th Ducktales set would most likely be paired up with the next Darkwing Duck or Gummi Bears release, or possibly (and this is wishful thinking) the final Gargoyles set, just without any bonus features like the previous sets had.
Once we get the the original Disney Afternoon shows plus Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck wrapped up, Disney will probably start releasing Goof Troop, Bonkers, Aladdin, and the New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Yes.....I was wondering when I would hear about DT volume 3. This makes me happy. :)
Great to hear about Talespin, too.

OH HALLELUJIAH!
I thought they were going to do what they did to Gargoyles to every single one of their old shows--only publish one or two volumes, strategically release them on the worst days possible, and underpromote them. Then cancel all remaining releases forever when the sales results don't match the "Lost" sets.
We have a third chance, so let's not waste it and let's move them boxes!
I see more encouraging signs from the DuckTales box...they've put out 54 episodes so far. This box has 24 eps, not 27....This puts them up to episode #78; another 22 will complete the series. Mayhaps the lower number is a good indicator they're planning to actually complete this?
No more Gummi Bears, apparently....I guess that's not surprising, but I did all I could.

All I've picked up so far is Ducktales Vol 2, Gummi Bears, and Tale Spin. I can't find Gargoyles ANYWHERE, and I'm waiting until I get an influx of extra cash before I start picking up Darkwing and Chip & Dale.
I will get Talespin Vol 2 and the other 2 Ducktales sets before any other Disney set though.

Gargoyles is available on Amazon.com for, if I remember correctly, $21 for season 1 special edition and $35 for S2V1.
In addition, Darkwing is currently $23 for volume 1 and $19.99 for volume 2 at both Amazon and Best Buy. A question to the fans: Do the sets usually cost this amount? Or are they just on sale?
EDIT: Oh, so that's what IIRC means. Anyways, you can ignore that. I just checked the prices, they're all correct.

Finally, a date for Ducktales! I figured it would come out around that time, but it's nice to know for sure :)
I'm a little worried that Gummi Bears Vol.2 wasn't announced with it. Gummi Bears and Ducktales were both released on the same day last year. I need more from Gummi Glen!

It should be in this one. The "Super DuckTales" five parters are my favorites, so I should be happier, but I still need to get V2.

The DuckTales set could look something like this:
52) Duck to the Future
53) Jungle Duck
54) Launchpad's First Crash
55) Dime Enough for Luck
56) The Duck in the Iron Mask
57) The Uncrashable Hindentanic
58) The Status Seeker
59) Nothing to Fear
60) Dr. Jekyll & Mr. McDuck
61) Once Upon a Dime
62) Spies in Their Eyes
63) All Ducks on Deck
64) Ducky Horror Picture Show
65) Til Nephews Do Us Part
66) Time is Money pt 1
67) pt 2
68) pt 3
69) pt 4
70) pt 5
71) The Land of Tra La La
72) Allowance Day
73) Bubbeo and Juliet
74) The Good Muddahs
75) My Mother the Psychic
I wish they would stick Super DuckTales in there before the Gizmoduck episodes towards the end of the list, but this is production order (according to wikipedia, anyway), and the sets seem to be going in production order (with the exception of Golden Suns being first on volume 2).
If Super DuckTales shows up on this set, I would assume it would take the place of 71-75.
