#41 – “Eye for an Eye”
Danny and Vlad’s game of revenge against each other begins with childish pranks, and, unfortunately for Danny, ends when Vlad decides to run for mayor of Amity Park! By overshadowing voters, Vlad wins in a landslide. The new mayor is eager to use his new power to make life as miserable as possible for Danny and his friends. He shuts down the Nasty Burger, outlaws technology, creates new school uniforms, and passes so many new laws in the name of “protecting the children” that Danny finds it impossible to go ghost. He even turns the townsfolk against Danny Phantom by painting him as an evil ghost. Completely outmaneuvered, Danny must find a way to outsmart Vlad and get back some of his freedom. If he doesn’t succeed, Mayor Vlad’s may finally end the career of Danny Phantom.

Tuesday
#48 – “Boxed Up Fury”
The Box Ghost is tired of being unappreciated and ignored. He raids his warehouse for some boxes that might help him with his wimpy image, but none of the new boxes he unleashes scare anyone. Frustrated, he sneaks into a forbidden area of the Ghost Zone to steal the mythical Pandora’s box. Soon, the Box Ghost is feared by all, because every time he opens Pandora’s box a new evil attacks Amity Park. Each evil is worse than the one before. Danny must track down the box’s owner, Pandora, a colorful old woman who doesn’t take any sass from anyone. With Pandora’s help, Danny should be able to put the Box Ghost back in his place.

Wednesday
#49 – “Frightmare”
It’s a whole new world for Danny Fenton – he’s getting A’s, he’s the quarterback of the football team, he and Tucker are best pals with Dash, and Sam is his girlfriend. What? Turns out it’s all a dream! Danny wakes up wearing a strange headset, and finds himself floating in the far reaches of the Ghost Zone! He frees himself and heads home to learn Amity Park’s been conquered by Nocturn, the ghost of sleep. Danny manages to wake Sam, Tucker and Jazz, and together they set out to conquer this new, powerful ghost. While Tucker and Jazz set about destroying the machine that’s keeping everyone asleep, Danny and Sam overshadow a sleeping Nocturn and invade his dreams. But will they be able to defeat Nocturn on his home turf, or will they be stuck in his nightmarish world forever?

Thursday
#50 – “Claw of the Wild”
Danny, Sam and Tucker are off to camp, but only Sam is excited about spending time in the outdoors. She even puts on a happy face when the camp turns out to be a creepy, run-down dump. Before everyone can adjust to their surroundings, Mikey runs in claiming a monster in the woods snatched his friend! Danny, Sam and Tucker explore the woods and capture the beast. Unfortunately, the next morning, Dash claims a monster ate Kwan, and then Paulina realizes Starr is missing, too! Pretty soon, Danny, Tucker and Sam are forced to split up and no matter how many ghost monsters they catch, there always seem to be more coming out of the underbrush. Who could be behind this camping catastrophe? And what is their old friend Wulf doing in the woods?

Friday
#51 – “D-Stabilized”
Danielle Phantom is back! Only this time, she’s being hunted by Valerie whose been tricked by Vlad Masters into thinking the ghost girl is evil. And once Valerie has Dani under her control, she uses her to capture her more powerful cousin, Danny Phantom. When Danny wakes up to find himself under Valerie’s control, he begs her to release him so that he can save Danielle. At first, Valerie doesn’t want to listen, but Danny is able to convince her that Danielle’s human side is worth saving. Valerie frees the ghost boy and the two head off to rescue Dani. In the process of their adventure, Valerie learns that Vlad is not the selfless millionaire he seems to be, and that knowledge leads her to turn her back on her benefactor and become a ghost-hunting free agent.

FRIDAY HOUR-LONG MOVIE

#52-53 – “Phantom Planet”
Danny defeats Vlad in an outer space battle, prompting Plasmius to exact revenge, which he does by creating Masters’ Blasters, a team of hip ghost fighters whose amazing prowess renders Danny Phantom unnecessary. Danny sees the Fenton Portal partially dismantled (the result of Jack’s experiments to improve its effectiveness) and wonders if it was in this state when he got his powers, maybe in a similar state now it could take his powers away! As a stunned Sam, Tucker and Jazz look on, Danny Phantom becomes Danny Fenton – permanently! That’s when Masters’ Blasters prove they were to be too good to be true. Worse, Vlad’s earlier antics in space have accidentally dislodged a giant asteroid, which is now hurtling directly at the earth! As countries across the globe unite to save the planet, Vlad steps forward and reveals to a stunned world that he is Vlad Plasmius! He offers to turn the asteroid intangible…if the people of earth pay him billions and make him supreme ruler! But the asteroid is made of ecto-ranium, an element harmful to ghosts, and Vlad can’t touch it, much less turn it intangible. Danny wonders if they might be able to turn the earth intangible instead. His attempts to secure the assistance of all his ghostly enemies results in a battle - where the ghosts’ energy blasts reignite his latent ghost DNA. Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom once more! He manages to convince the ghosts that saving the earth means saving the ghost zone, then leads the charge as the ghosts return with him to turn the earth intangible and save it from certain doom.

Ah, one of my favorite ways of ending a series: a week of new episodes ending with the series finale. Definitely better than just airing them willy-nilly with no thought.

D-Stabilized is probably my favorite episode in the series. Shame it's basically meaningless because of Phantom Planet.

Ah Phantom Planet, an episode that was alomost good enough to make up for this whole disapointing third season. And Boy did it make up for the disastor that was "reality Trip"

I'm most happy on "D-Stabilized" because they got Vlad's character RIGHT, back to his Season One and Two self--an element that he all but abandoned throughout Season 3 to play generic one-dimensional villain. Too bad a certain character in that episode didn't ended the way I wanted. Ahh well, dreams can't always 100% come true.

Still don't know why they waited so long to show 'Eye For An Eye". I mean why air it the week of the series finale? Eh maybe they wanted to promote it as Danny's "fiercest week" or something in order to hype the series finale (which of course they aren't going to say on Nick. Closest they'll say is "It May Be The End Of Danny phantom" which in this case is actually true). Still glad to see the show is finally ending this summer. It had a pretty good run despite not getting the popularity of FOP and at least didn't drift into indefinite hiatus/uber long last epsiode placement like some Nicktoons have.

My two favorite animated series of the past few years ending nearly simultaneously! Excellent! Or not?

I've noticed that Nickelodeon has been giving sorta special send-offs to their ending shows this summer. Ned's Declassified, Drake and Josh, and now Danny Phantom are getting special days, while burning off the remainder of the episodes (though I think D&J have a couple more left). Oh, D&J really brought the ratings too... (http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/prnewswire/NYM13406082007-1.htm)

Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp TV movie, starring Drake Bell and Josh Peck, served up big laughs and even bigger ratings in its premiere, Friday, August 3, 8 - 9 p.m. ET/PT. The event ranked as the highest-rated TV movie ever with tweens 9-14 and total viewers (P2+) in Nickelodeon history, beating the January 6, 2006 Drake & Josh Go Hollywood TV movie by +4% (with T9-14), and +6% (P2+), as well as Nick's competition on Friday night by triple digit percentages in all target demographics.

Of course, it'll be better if Nick actually called these episodes series finales...

I read somewhere that there's a "rule" against mentioning a season finale "on the air". Possibly because there's always a slim chance that a show could be renewed in the future.
Of course some shows chances aren't as slim as others.

I'm sad to see this show go. I thought the concept was pretty sweet. Becoming a ghost because of your dad would be just plain amazing!!

Yeah, Nick made up that silly rule because they didn't want kids to become upset when a show ends.

Then again, even as a kid, I could tell perfectly well when a show had ended, so that rule is just rediculous.

Are you sure? Avatar has done it for the last two seasons.

Actually, I think Dudley means that they can't mention series finales.

Then it should be interesting to see the end of Avatar season 3. Wonder they'll advertise it.

Anyway, I'm glad Danny Phantom is finally getting it's last episodes aired. It was really absurd the way Nick held off on airing these episodes.

Wait, Avatar is ending after season 3? This is the first I've heard of that.

I should be excited but these episodes kind of sucked. Atleast they're not spanning the airrings out though.

I'd rather of Butch and co took their time and made quality episodes then all this rushed storyline. I could of waited.

I say in 20years we get a DP revival in liveaction format. Movie or tv.

Well, every show has to end sometime. DP wasn't a bad cartoon, but it wasn't that great either.

While it's great to see so many new episodes so quickly, it would have been more desireable (for me) to see them shown as the episodes were before the long break (weekly/semi-weekly in primetime). Of course, Nick concluding that the show was a failure kept that from happening. You'll probably only see a few odd airings of the show on Nickelodeon after this week. The good news is that Nicktoons shows new eps (for them) Sundays at 9pm and seem to premiere them in production order. They also air the movies from time to time. Now, if only they would show the episodes of My Life as a Teenage Robot that haven't aired in the U.S.--I mean, they're showing the heck out of the rest of them...and the movie, too.

I would guess either Kim Possible or American Dragon.

I saw the commercial just now. And I thought it's funny they called their airing of Phantom Planet the world premiere.

If it was World Premiere, then other countries wouldn've seen it.

Eye for an Eye was definately good. Honestly I always figured Vlad would create a duplicate of himself to "prove" to others that he wasn't a ghost just makes to much sense. The only thing I didn't like about this episode was the fact that Danny was perfectly willing to talk about his powers in front of a camera he knew was there. Not smart.

Anyway B+ from me.

You do mean him shouting about Vlad's powers, right? Because if that's the case, Danny had very little alternate solutions and was desperate. Granted, Vlad would have done the same to Danny as a counter, but desperate times calls for desperate measures. Luckily for the ghost boy, he didn't have to shout it out.

It had to be one of the two, but I would also have guessed KP...I believe it to be a better show overall than ADJL, but I like both very much. Now, back on topic..
