Some interesting choices, and I'm pleased to see The Iron Giant in there. I don't believe I've ever heard of The Black Cauldron. Is it any good?

I'd say it's decent, not the best movie made by 'Disney' but far from the worst either. I remember that I really enjoyed watching it when I was a kid. Although, I must say that even then I liked the books it was (loosely) based on more.
Regarding the two lists, the only movie that would have a chance to get into my own top 5 would be 'The Iron Giant'. I haven't seen 'Waking Life' and while 'Land Before Time' was another one of my favorite childhood movies, nowadays, if I had to pick one movie made by Bluth I'd pick 'The Secret of NIMH'.
I'm also a bit surprised that none of Miyazaki's movies were mentioned.
On the bottom 5: Well, I've only seen snippets of 'Fantasia' and thus I can't really judge the movie but I liked what I've seen. Haven't seen 'Fritz the Cat' and I actually liked 'Yellow Submarine' (mostly because of The Blue Meanies) and used to watch it again and again until my tape broke.
Regarding 'Rugrats the Movie': I've never been a big fan of 'Rugrats' (it's mostly the character designs I don't like) so I'll agree with him on that one, out of pure bias (the sequel when they went to 'Paris' was pretty awful as well). As for 'The Lord of The Rings'; yes, it's bad but it did introduce me to the world of Tolkien and for that I'm grateful.

I don't hate the guy, but he did make some pretty odd choices. It definitely seems to be more 'personal opinion' than 'popular choice'... Which makes for a less predictable list, but I really don't see how he can seriously say that the Rugrats Movie is the worst animated film of all time. I mean, I don't personally like it, and I can see how you might find the babies annoying or something, but it's really not that bad... There's gotta be worse.
Just off the top of my head, I'd say 'American Pop' is worse. Or maybe a few of those Disney sequels.

That list is so ridiculously biased it's not funny.
Though I agree on one thing, Fantasia is pretty boring. The 2000 one is better.

What the? Tarzan as the number 1 best classically animated film? Lord of the Rings and Fritz the Cat as two of the 5 worst classically animated films? Well, okay can understand Bakshi's LotR, as it's pretty much "like it or hate it", but still, Tarzan as the #1 best classically animated movie? How old is this person anyway? I noted he's using phrases like "pothead" and using minor reasons as to "why the movie is bad" (such as opinions from other people or the fact that bad actors voice in the movie).

Obviously biased, but as far as best movies go he could've done much worse than listing Tarzan. That was a home run for Disney in my book.

Not if he writes cruddy articles like this.

I agree that Tarzan was one of the last traditional attempts to save the Disney formula franchise, and did a pretty good job with stylizing the character. Too bad the series sucked. I was waiting for the next big compilation after Aladdin and was sure this was going to be it.

Well, saying this list is "biased" is pretty dumb since all lists like these will be biased by their very nature, but this one is pretty bad. I give it credits for listing Waking Life and Iron Giant on the top 5, but the other films aren't that special. The guy writing this obviously doesn't get that The Yellow Submarine is supposed to just be silly visually-stunning fun, at which it succeeds greatly. And since when is Toy Story about "animals in an exotic surrounding"? Where are the Miyazaki movies on the best list and the Disney cheapquels on the worst?

Hey, I personally thought the Spongebob movie was really funny. Not a masterpiece by any means, but it made me laugh too much to hate it.

Here's what the list should have been....
Best:
5. Digimon: the moive
4. The Last Unicorn
3. Fritz the Cat
2. The Incredibles
1. Rudolf and Frosty's Christmas in July
Worst:
5. Shrek
4. Shrek 2
3. Shrek 3
2. Shrek 4 (coming 2010)
1. Corpse Bride (All CGI sucks:mad:)
Look how right I am! Everyone who disagrees with me is WRONG and I will hate them forever. Who cares if it's a trivial reason to hate someone, I WILL FLAME YOU FOR THE REST OF MY DAYS!!! Also, 4kids sucks.

Very odd choices. In the best list most of those movies are good but I would not consider them the best. The the worst, Fantasia? What the heck? That's like my favorite movie. Lord of the Rings was alright (Golem was too freaky for me) and I only liked the Rugrats movie because I had a Rugrats obsession back in the day.

This was ignoring CGI, since this was about the best and worst traditional animation.
Also, The Corpse Bride wasn't CGI, it was stop-motion.
Plus, you're a hypocrite for saying all CGI sucks when you also say you like The Incredibles, which was CGI.

It was a joke. I just wanted to make fun of people who take these stupid lists too seriously. I was well aware that Corpse Bride was stop-motion and that most of the movies on my "Best" list are horrible. I guess it was a bit too authentic for these forums.

Why would anyone WANT to sit through a 24-hour marathon of the same movie over and over again? You have issues if you actually did that. Change the channel or go outside or something.

I mean, I make an effort to watch "A Christmas Story" every year when TBS plays it during Christmas, but watching it more than once in that day? That's pointless.
Anyway, I don't think it's the fact that he has different opinions that's the problem. It's that he doesn't explain some of them. He just says that "Fritz the Cat" is bad, and that "Rugrats Movie" sucks because David Spade guest voices. What?!

Where are the Miyazaki movies on the best list and the Disney cheapquels on the worst? There's lots of movies far better than Miyazaki's stuff and lots of stuff far worse than the "cheapquels", since most of them are at least pretty decent, to say the least. They're not truly "horrible" like some of the stuff he listed (though I disagree with Fritz the Cat)

If David Spade is his only reason for saying Rugrats is the worst animated movie ever made, shouldn't Emperor's New Groove, by default, be somewhere on that list?

Well, Miyazaki may or may not have made your personal favorite movies (Spirited Away is definitely in my top 5), but I think we can all agree those films are of a higher quality than The Land Before Time or The Black Cauldron. Similarly, we can all agree that Fantasia and The Yellow Submarine, though flawed, are better at least artistically than the "cheapquels".
