Welcome to the Anything Else thread! On last week's ratings cards, Bleach scored it's highest ratings on AS(well, at least on a Saturday), gaining over 500,000 18-34 viewers. Will the power of Orhime help it repeat again or will Master Moltar and D Dubbs be right and say it was a fluke?:p

It'll be interesting to see if they continue to advertise Saturdays. I sure hope they do, but they probably won't.
Birdman and Dingo return...nice! :anime:

Even though it won't pull ratings as strong as Chicken/ATHF, the Birdman/Frisky pair at 12:00 will definitely get me watching. Two of my personal faves.

Color me impressed. I didn't think they would just move the Saturday preview card to after Futurama. Not as good as playing after FG (where the Sunday one will most likely return), but not bad either.

That's good to hear. With Robot Chicken Season 3 premering next week, I thought AS would stop promoting SAT. I guess Bleach's ratings changed that.

Well, they did go down by about 150,000, but they're still not too bad. I mean, prior to last week hasn't Bleach been getting about 350,000 viewers? It's at least doing better than it was doing without ads.
By the way, does anyone have the Saturday bump?

The latest card gave us some interesting info on the newest shows coming to AS. Fat Guy Stuck in the Internet is coming in April 2008 and Superjail is coming July 2008. Still no word if all the other pilots are picked up (though if we haven't heard by now it might make sense to say no) but at least having dates on these is somewhat refreshing. Well in Superjail's case anyway.

Fat Guy AND Superjail were picked up? :crying: Many people knew about this around the time AS had that night dedicated to airing those pilot episodes.
I have no clue what to watch on Monday: Daily Show, Colbert, and the festival that is Street Fighter II V, or the ATHF Marathon (probably the first choice). But, still, I like the ads and the bumper with great American Andrew W.K.

Last night was the first time I saw those two Inuyasha episodes and I must say, I enjoyed them. The first episode had Kikyo not being in her normal "I WANT YOUR SOUL INUYASHA AND I WON'T FORGIVE YOU FOR BETRAYING ME EVEN THOUGH NARAKU WAS THE ONE WHO CAUSED THIS" mode and there was some nice interaction between Kagome and Kikyo. Even at the end when she went with Inuyasha, there was no misunderstanding or joke that ruined the love between the two. Take away the 10 "sit boy's" Kagome said at the beginning and Shippo's useless comments(Inuyasha doesn't always deserve the punishments he gets Shippo), and you had a perfect episode.
The second was just as good, focusing on the two followers of Koga and their hilarious attempts to keep Koga and Sesshomaru away from each other. You even got Koga caring for his men at the end, by saving the potato chips for them. Two good episodes in a row.
...I'm guessing they were filler right?

I agree... still that FMA eppy last night was sad...
Nothing good on the viewer card front... i may need to double-check later...
Its so obvious that Harvey Birdman's Animation quality has changed in the past few years, from hand-drawn to flash/Aqua Teen-esque animation...
Hurray for BLEACH in the raitings top...

you to? except I saw them at the 5 a.m airings  but I thought the first one wasn't so great how many times does Kagome have to save Kikyo before it gets through Kikyo's thick head to why she does it  the second one was really pretty funny and good :)

I agree. It also has one of my favorite quotes and all-time favorite scene:
Harvey: "Experience. It's what separates us from animals. Well, that and product placement."
[replaces the drink and several items with Tab and Tab-related signage]

The ratings had a couple interesting tidbits.
1. While AS' 18-34 audience stayed flat, it gained 39,000 viewers 35-49. Looks like I'm not the only over-34 "old fart" who watches Adult Swim. Yes, senior power!!!
2. Adult Swim's audience is almost equal to CN's audience. If AS viewership exceeds the rest of CN, will that mean more clout with the Turner suits and more resources for acquisitions and original productions? (^_*)

Well, if we're talking JL Animated Wally West Flash and if Yoruichi's naked. My money is on Yoruichi.
What was the reason why Harvey Birdman went away from CN Studios to Turner Studios?
1. It's cheaper to do it in Flash than traditional animation.
2. It's a lot quicker to produce in Flash (Turner Studios) than do it the old-fashioned way (various animation studios including CNS). There was like a 10-month gap between the airing of "Very Personal Injury" and "Shaggy Busted," and another 10-month gap existed between "Dabba Don" and "Deadomutt".
