"Scent-imental Over You"
"Love Me, Love My Mouse" (MGM, Tom & Jerry)
"Rabbit Seasoning"

The Chuck Jones Show returned and it's the same as it was before. You're not missing anything.

But, at least they aired all Jones cartoons tonight.

I think that problem was fixed before it temporarily went off the air.

I don't really expect them to air rare cartoons at that time of day, anyway.

I also don't expect to see any "rare" cartoons on the Chuck Jones Show. But, it would have been nice if they at least prepared some little trivia bumpers or something to show between cartoons (like the Tex Avery or Popeye shows do).

The Chuck Jones show is back! - and it still sucks.

I don't know why the Chuck Jones Show gets so many insults. It's really no worse than a show like Bugs & Daffy or weekday afternoon Tom & Jerry. It's a director show, but that doesn't mean it needs extra features.

Most peoples complaints about the CJ show is in reference to the two better (television show, not judging the talent of the cartoon director) director shows CN has already developed. The clampett show has set a high standard with uncut cartoons, and informative bumpers. The Tex Avery show, while not nearly as good, does occasionally give information before cartoons. When compared to these shows, CN's CJ show just isn't very good

Add to the problem the fact that, unlike Avery and Clampett, who have been dead for 21 and 18 years respectively, Jones is still very much alive, and could be used to provide bridging information about the cartoons, the same way interviews with him (along with Maurice Nobel and June Foray) were used in the past by Cartoon Network during their "50 Greastest Cartoons of All-Time" show.

As is, except for the unique animation bumpers, which can't help but get repetitive after a while, the three cartoons aired on The Chuck Jones show last night could just as easily air any day of the week back to back to close out "Bugs and Daffy" and open up "Tom & Jerry." At the very least, they could stick one of Jones' rarely-seen black & white Looney Tunes into the mix once in a while, just to show someone actually cares about the show, and the Cartoon Network isn't just capitalizing on Jones' name to milk a few extra viewers out of the same cartoons that are in regular rotation.

Not to mention it includes overplayed cartoons and even his T&J cartoons, which don't have the greatest reputation and have been played on the T&J Show often enough for most people.

The Chuck Jones show gets bashing because it deserves it. No care was put into the show at all, and we basically get the "Chuck Jones" show everyday on Bugs and Daffy, his overplayed cartoons are always heavily featured on that show. Plus, I've never been crazy about Jones anyway. There are many other directors who deserve their own show.

Here's an even more interesting question: Does Chuck Jones, himself know that he's got a director's show on CN? I doubt he does. If he did, we probably would know about it after reading some kind of review on the internet. Plus, wouldn't Chuck Jones see to it that his show be better? Or does he want it that way. While to each is there own, it's still weird to me.
