"Big Fat Alien Wedding"
Episode 46
Premieres at 7 p.m.
Encores Saturday at 10 AM

Last time Grandpa Max decided to show his grandkids he is still young at heart by tackling the dunking booth, but the booth ended up being filled with water from the Fountain of Youth. Grandpa was turned back into a kid, and they were accompanied by an even younger toddler type Ben. Gwen became the brains and let them to the farm of the fountain where Hex was becoming younger, but Gwen got Ben to go into a tantrum which turned Hex into an infant. Ben and Grandpa's effects soon faded away, and they embarked once more ready to face evil.

Today: Grandpa takes Ben and Gwen to a family wedding where Ben looks uncomfortable. Gwen doesn't soon forget Ben's pain, but they don't know they have been pursued to the wedding by evil forces, and now it's up to Ben to save the day.

The next new Ben 10 will be next Friday, August 10, with the movie premiere of Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix (episodes 40- 42). Also, a little birdy has stated different aliens will appear in each showing of Secret of the Omnitrix next weekend, so get ready for action, adventure, and fun.

I Imagine what goes to do an episode very good.:anime:

Wedding episodes have become stale for me, but I did enjoy Gwen teaching Ben how to dance.

Naruto must be really popular with the staff.

Before seeing the episode I kept thinking the aliens wouldn't appear till the end as some sort of "I didn't see that coming" plot. And those stupid bumpers made me think that the groom was the alien not the bride...

But anyway, I thought that was a funny episode. I really like those mudpuppy aliens. (I wonder if Ben has one in the omnitrix?) I thought it was cute that the alien bride and the human groom got married. It was also funny that the flower girl that Ben was dancing with was one of those mudpuppy aliens too.(I kinda knew along)

An actual open war between Plumbers and MudBugs (or whatever) is a bit extreme for me to buy since there has been no indications the Plumers have interstellar ships nor that they are protectors of the Galactic cluster.

Oh well, minor peave to make the "Henry V" plot work to set the theme.
Now for the goodies. Ben learning to dance from Gwen, oh why didn't Max have a camera :anime:
Gwen going ninja in a poofy dress, wait, when did she become an Earthbender? She used two new spells. It took all of Merlins persuasion to force Morgan La Fay to bring forthe the breath of the dragon,,, never mind, different story, different magic
Ben dancing with a mud alien. Do you think he stepped on her toes first, then she made mud? That would be even funnier. :anime:It took the bride an awfully long time to go Hulk,, I mean alien. I thought the saying was "Hell hath no fury like a woman whose Wedding is being trashed"? Well, something like that. :anime:

Not really exciting.

In theory, the whole 'parents don't like each other at their wedding' bit doesn't have much to expand on, even with one set of parents here being aliens. This was kinda paint-by-the-numbers, with a small twist of the bride's parents really not approving of the wedding.

And it took long enough for the bride to finally revolt against them, didn't it?

The only fun part? Gwen teaching Ben how to dance... and Grandpa Max walking in on them. :p

"Big Fat Alien Wedding": 2.5/5.

Steven Jay Blum voiced the alien father with glasses.

I'm surprised I'm the first to realize that.

Naruto must be really popular with the staff.

Why's that? (aside from the infamous cameo in the Christmas episode)

The Mud Girl cousin looked like Naruto's Sexy no Jutsu form (only a bit younger).

How come the bride wasn't ugly like the other mud monsters?

How come the bride wasn't ugly like the other mud monsters? Well, they're shapeshifters, so I imagine she uses that form instead of some blob.

As for the episode itself, it was decent.

but who did the voice for the bride? she sounded very familiar.

The Mud Girl cousin looked like Naruto's Sexy no Jutsu form (only a bit younger).Maybe that was it. I kept watching her move in total girlish glee abut the dance and thinking she looks like another character.

She also had Naruto's cheek markings. (those were bugging me the whole episode)

She had the 'whiskers'.

I have to say, this is the funniest episode yet IMHO. I was cracking up (a rare occasion) when Cannonbolt tried to blow out the fire. Good stuff.

The voice actress of Vicky from FoP.

i think he meant why wasn't she uglier in her mudblob form she still looked sorta human

did any one find it kinda disturbing how the bride...eh..killed her family...then ben...eh killed the ex boyfriend and the parents...what happened to the mudblob/plumber race relations all that killing isn't going to help the cause

I thought it was fun to see more plumbers i would have liked a little more back story why the hell were there so many we were lead to believe there were only 2 in existence

the groom is supposed to be a plumber too but he didn't lift a finger to help when all the carnage ensued

hilarious moment: when the grooms dad did the "I'm watching you" gesture classic! I've never seen that animated before..pure gold

Yeah, I found it disturbing too. But they were trying to kill them so they had little choice but to take them out.
Also, it appeared like Grandpa Max didnt have any extra weapons in his suit so the groom would kind of be the equivalant of a civillian if he tried to help. On top of that it was the brides family so the groom would probably feel bad if he had a hand in their deaths.

And is anyone else a little ticked that Ben hasnt been using his second batch of aliens in these past episodes? I could understand not using Ghostfreak but the other ones should be getting alot more spotlight. I think he has been relying on the first 10 way too much in the series. Wildvine seems to be the only one he uses multiple times.

Anybody else getting tired of his constant use of Cannonbolt???

i think he meant why wasn't she uglier in her mudblob form she still looked sorta human That's what I meant too. Her parents shapeshifted while their bodies were in mud-form, so why can't she?

:anime: Invulnerable, fast, smashes stuff (a Ben 10 favorite way to defeat evil) appears when means it too, and doesn't get it's butt kick everyother time? I'd use it too. Beats going Wildmutt that hasn't won a fight since the show started. :anime:

I want to see Ripjaws again. He's easily the rarest alien in the series.

I want to see Ripjaws again. He's easily the rarest alien in the series. Ripjaws is such a specialized alien. Water, without it he's in serious trouble. They go to all the trouble of thing of aliens with strengths and weaknesses, then they seem to refuse to write stories around that. Both Wildmutt and Ghostfreak were poorly used most of the time

I actually hope either the bride or the bridesmaid appears in a future ep. Maybe in the new series even. In terms of the bridesmaid, potential love interest anyone?
...

I know it would not really be hard to write a fight in the dark where Wildmutt would be very useful due to it's Daredevil like radar vision. Yet chances are Ben would just go Heatblast in such a situation.

Ghostfreak well he was better used as a villain then sadly.

Speaking of which I want to see the monster alien forms again.

I can't say I expected Ben to turn the parents into stone. I guess he might as well be a modern day Medusa. Grandpa having Plumbers weapons stored on hand was also cool, but I do want to see more about the plumber history now. They obviously had some conflicts with the various alien races, but how extreme were they?

Next week it's the Ben 10 movie. Let's get ready to self destruct and run amuck.

Me too. If only so we can get some official names for them.
