Given that the audience has changed and I can't sell a video game adaption to a pack of animation fans, I would have opted not to rerun this, but it took up such a big chunk of 2005 that there's little other choice.

One thing I wished I'd done better is the chemistry between Crono and Marle. It was kind of hard; I normally don't dabble in romance, but when Crono meets Marle he technically has just met his wife (I don't think that's much of a spoiler; the game never tries to make you think they could break up. Except for that one time). I made a mistake in part 1 by introducing Lucca first; I ended up making HER more interesting and ended up making Crono and Marle less believable.

I wish I knew anything about Chrono Trigger so I could provide any decent feedback on the plot. But as for the artwork, I quite like your black-and-white experimentation here - in your earlier strips, it's basically just the absence of color, but I like how you got artistic with the heavy shading. Ever thought of doing more like this?

I doubt I'll be doing another black-and-white story anytime soon. I think it was one of the reasons people were turned off. They'd gotten used to the color by then. And I hate it myself when a color webcomic suddenly goes black-and-white.

Parts 2 and 3 are now up (part 2 was short). If you indeed don't know anything about Chrono Trigger then you're in for some interesting revelations; this is where the game gets going.

The fourth and last chapter is up, if anyone cares.
