From the Nick.com TV schedule page:

They are listing 5 (MORE) NEW EPISODES OF SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS to air starting TODAY - Friday at 5PM??

I know they promoted the heck out of the "5 NEW EPISODES" last week, but has anyone heard anything about them for this week?

Well, we will find out today at 5PM, when "The Original Fry Cook / Night Light" are scheduled to air.

I've seen the same thing. I think it might be some that some commercials were mixed up.

So did it turn out that new episodes also aired this week? If so, then something's really up with Nick. I mean, look at how long it took them to slowly tread through late season three and early season four. It could take over 6 months to air 10 episodes of SB. And now they're burning through them in two weeks time. Something seems really off about that. Is it an excuse to have more DVDs released of the show quicker or they just in need of ratings that badly. I still need to see the episodes from last week but I'm sure they'll be good since Spongebob is one of the few pure comedic Nick shows that hasn't really jumped the shark. Yet anyway.

Since the show was recently renewed could Nick suddenly have found themselves with a huge surplus of unaired episodes with quite a few more on the way. Perhaps they decided to burn off as many as possible since they'll always have lots more to withhold for months.
