Question about what I think is an in-joke

I may be mistaken, but wasn't there a small argument Bruce Timm had with another one of the staff members concerning the future of DVDs and eight-tracks or something like that? Watching 'Joker's Millions', which had a DVD display at a convention, and 'Love is a Croc', which featured a small newspaper headline reading, 'B.T. says DVD the new eight-track' or something similar, I recall reading that these were referencing an argument.

Can anyone fill me in on the details?

I think that was with Boyd Kirkland? It was with one of the directors from Batman I know that, who Im guessing was a fan of DVD when it first came out, but Bruce thought it wouldn't fly, due to how expensive it used to be. Thus the in joke of him on the newspaper came, however in Joker's Millions, I think there was a in joke Bruce had written in but was never animated.

Thanks for that, although checking WF, Boyd Kirkland wasn't a director on TNBA. He left after BTAS, so I'm guessing it was either Dan Riba or Butch Lukic.
