"Don't Drink The Water"
Episode 45
Premieres at 7 p.m.
Encores Saturday at 10 AM

Last time Ben found a new form on his omnitrix, a form which allows him to duplicate himself, but the multiplication became tricky when Dr. Animo captured him and made an army of Stink Flies. Luckily Gwen abd Grandpa showed up to assist Ben and give them the win.

Today: Grandpa Max decides to show his grandkids he is still young at heart by tackling the dunking booth, but the booth ends up being filled with water from teh Fountain of Youth. With Grandpa having been turned back into a kid, and an even younger toddler type Ben, it's up to Gwen to keep the fountain of youth safe from dangerous magical forces.

The next new Ben 10 will be August 10 with the movie premiere of Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix.

I'm glad to see Grandpa Max learned a lesson about not staying young forever. Honestly, I like him alot better old than young.

Well, looks like Hex has gone Silvermane on us and Charmcaster's playing the part of Alicia...minus all the respect.

How the mighty have fallen, namely Hex. It was kinda predictable that he would end up becoming a kid, but I never expected Charmcaster in there.

Wow. That was actually pretty good. Having Grandpa Ben as a kid was kind of fun, and a nice change. I almost wish it was permanent.
But how did Hex turn into a little kid?

And most importantly, why did he hide the fountain's water at a amusement park in the first place?

That's easy, He drank TOO MUCH of the water, when Young Heatblast's Tantrum evaporated all the magic water.

And remember this: "Before there was Stinkfly, there was STINKYFLY!" He lives up to the name, with the gas attack that would almost come from eating foods that give you gas, plus he can cut down vines with his sword-like tail, but he also retains his older counterpart's power.

Ben was lucky he didn't turn into Stink Maggot.

Grandpa Max wearing Ben's clothes was a good idea, but Toddler Ben was hillarious. They had him act exactly as you'd expct a toddler to act, and it allowed him to save the day by turing Hex into a baby. Exactly how Charmcaster found Hex can be anyone's guess, but it looks like Ben will have a new teen enemy when he gets to be an adult.

I really liked Gwen teasing Heatbaby into a supernova tantrum. Beyond that, I felt it was a little weak, and I give this show alot of latitude for it's stories.

I liked Juniper Lee's Little Big Mah better.

They really lost me at "If that waters so important, Why does he have it a carnie dunk tank?" From then on there wasn't anything special in the animation to pick it up beyond a few chuckle moments.

Meh

I'm pretty sure Hex will be back to his old self as Ben and Max will.

Where the heck did Charmcaster come from. Hex was clearly operating on his own. Though Charmcaster is good no matter why she shows up :D

I know what you mean. I kinda feel they need to have more mature and a strong writing, not to mention make the villain more interesting instead of just some lame villain of the week and we know that Ben has alot of lame villains.

Hope that the spinoff do well, mostly because Dwayne Mcduffie's goanna be one of the writers of the show.

Actually i hope Hex stay as a baby so that Charmcaster be the full time villain instead of just being the villain's sidekick. Also it would work on the spinoff, making Hex being a kid and wanna get his revenge on Ben and the others.

This episode perfectly demonstrates my #1 problem with this show: they're always at the right place at the right time to find supernatural stuff. I just wish that they could come up with a better explanation for encountering a plot device than "it just happened to be at the same place they're visiting this week".

It's pretty sad that Ben would make fun of Max for being old. I mean c'mon, the man may have trouble reading and get winded running, but any old man that can operate a rocket or a laser cannon is a pretty cool old man in my book.

Just about every adventure show is like that, though

That's what i hate about Ben, he kinda forgets how Cool Grandpa Max is from the others.

I notice something that Ben seems to forget on what he did with his cousin and Grandpa for example noticing that he, Gwen and Grandpa make a great team on the Galactic enforcers episode but in the Ghostfreak saga from season 3 Ben seems to forgot that and still thinks that he can handle any situation without any help.

Also when Gwen shows some of her habilities or that she seems to care for Ben he stays the same in the next episode making fun of her without showing a little respect for her, of course Gwen does the same but not worst than Ben.

What kind of spinoff? And how is this getting 52 episodes in less than two years? I thought the days of those "instant vast library" programs were over, and everything that isn't anime was getting a cheap 13-a-year deal from now on.

The spinoff is something called the Omnitix Generation or something like that. I think Ben starts a school for gifted mutants,, er,a ,, aliens.

Yeah, I was wondering. Cliche dialogue, moldy plots, annoying poser hero, toy-based motives....the only evil and wrong exec belief missing from this show is "If it's not set in school then kids can't identify with it." I see they're fixing that now.

If it weren't for the good animation and the Ben/Gwen conflicts, this show would be nothing.

Hero Generation
[Making me dig a little deeper] The new series will focus on a slightly older Ben and Gwen as they team up and mentor a group of children who have similar powers to Ben. Will air sometime before Spring 2008.[/ICK]

I'd say good animation and good characters. The Ben/Gwen conflicts really need to get toned down. They shouldn't be completely removed of course, but at least show more progression in it.
