Matt is one fine creator.

"Why did you decide on a small-town setting instead of the big city? Big cities are harder to draw."

^^That made me laugh :p

Is it any wonder why Matt is one of my favorite cartoonists? Snappy answers to mediocre questions.

Burger King begins its promotion for The Simpsons Movie today. Being lucky enough to work there, not only do I plan to collect all 16 toys, but I also called dibs on all the promotional posters, banners, and window clings around the restaurant. It's nice to have a manager who understands your fandom...

Did anyone here see his interview on The Daily Show?

Well I guess Springfield doesn't have a state since it borders maine and kentucky which is impossible but not for the Simpsons. :zoidberg:

Ahaha, oh, that Matt. That was a short, clever, amusing read.

Good interview in general, but I'm not so sure what I think about his "half-talents" comment. For The Simpsons' post-modern style, it's true, but many cartoons actually are very well-drawn and/or contain high-brow dialog. Just look at Chuck Jones' hunting trilogy.

I met Matt at Comic-Con one year, he was a big jerk to me....I was a huge fan of the show.

Somebody should've asked about the biggest mystery of them all: Before the end of the series, will we find out what state Springfield is in?

EDIT: I noticed a screw up in the interview. Homer DID get a divorce in "A Milhouse Divided", but only because he wanted his marriage to start off perfect from the start so he and Marge wouldn't end up like Kirk and Luann.

Who knows? Who cares? They can all bite my colossal metal ass if they complain about the Springfield being in a nonexistent state, or being the 51st state! If I were a Fairy Hunting Teacher, I'd say that there's only ONE reason there is now 51 States: FAIRY GODPARENTS!!!1!!!!!1

Is it just me or did this interview seem incredibly rushed?

It only works if you have an animated gif of Crocker doing the whole "FAIRY GOD PARENTS!" thing.
