Nice to see Ani-Monday doing well. It looks like Sci-Fi Channel is considering an expansion.

I still wish they would give us some numbers for Ani-Monday. But to get an expansion this early would be something...
Expansion is good. That means people are watching, and that can't be a bad thing.
The way the Manga guy said it, it sounded as if Sci Fi was just throwing the expansion around, it doesn't seem as though it has true grounding yet. He did say that Sci Fi isn't likely to put it on Saturdays because they don't want to compete with Adult Swim's anime.
Also, while he didn't give numbers he did say that Macross Plus and Tokko had been steadily gaining viewers every week while Noein, while still pretty good, has leveled off.

Eh...now the expansion doesn't sound as great. Sounds like Manga is just trying to raise their rep.

I don't think there was any indication Manga was simply trying to raise their rep. They simply said Sci-Fi was thinking about, not that they were going to, or even that they were on the verge of doing so. That's all.

Well, I'm sure that most panels were trying to sell themselves, so I'm not saying it's a bad thing. After all, if Sci Fi did give an expansion to Ani-Monday, it would show that Manga's properties were popular. So yeah, I still believe they were trying to promote themselves and their properties by saying that, which is what they should be doing.

Well if SciFi decides to expand I would hope they would add other companies shows to the line up. Also, i think Manga may be the only people we get any feed back out of on the issue of how well Ani-Monday is doing. As it is SciFi won't even admit to whether they've canceled the Dresden Files or not (though all signs point to that they have).
BTW, does anyone have a clue what the issues with licensing Tactics might be running into here?

Considering the block is only about 2 months old, it's a little crazy to expect that Sci Fi would expand it without a second thought right away.

Nope. The Manga guy couldn't divulge the details and I doubt ADV can either.
