Richard Fleischer, who'll be 85 this winter, is developing a CGI (3-D!) Betty Boop series -- there
were links to a Variety article and a press release at Yahoo!, the latter said that Mainframe Entertainment, Fleischer's partner in the venture, is also developing a remake of "Gulliver's Travels" for IMAX theaters.
Also, is anybody surprised that the creator of Roger Rabbit is suing D*sn*y for back royalties?

Meanwhile, Classic Media have changed their mind, and once again will acquire Harvey Entertainment Co. and their cast of toons, led by Casper, and unite them with Mr Magoo and the other UPA characters, which they already own.
So, sez JB, "A Harveytoons logo on a Noveltoon cartoon is now as meaningless as an A.A.P. logo on a Merrie Melodies cartoon. Will Classic Media refilm the cartoon openings and repackage the 'Harveytoons Show'?"
