Premieres at 7 p.m.
Season 4

Last episode.....stuff happened.

But today: Ben gets a new alien! He can duplicate himself and junk!

Well, someone had to make a talkback.
Do we have specific people who make these, if I wasn't supposed to I'm sorry.

o_0 "Alien clone jutsu". Where have I heard that before? :anime: Who was the voice of the little buggers? It sounded familiar.

A whole epi of Gwen in a swimsuit (I think that qualifies as the the beach epi required for anime status) getting her hair wet and looking perturbed, and throw in magic? Great show, even if Billy Numerous does it better, and I was expecting the bugs to SPLAT, rather than dissolve. Hang gliding Gwen is a nice addition.

Now if I could only find some screen shots [/hint hint]

I want to know too. I know that voice actor just can't think of his name.

Decent episode. I'm not really a fan of Dr. Animo and the episode was way rushed at the end, but I always like it when new aliens show up. The Dittos are interesting.

Sounded almost like a Tom Kenny voice.

*edit* Just looked it up, it was Rob Paulsen.

The rule states that unless CN's administrators have assigned a person to do a talkback, then they will do it. However, if it is after an episode has aired and a talkback is not up, you can post one. I typically post the talkback fort Ben 10, but I barely got back from Yellowstone Thank you fort getting it up.

I didn't actually get to watch this episode today, but I will be watching it Saturday morning or afternoon, depending on how soon I finish "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows."

I really like this episode even tho it involve Animo. The Dittos mostly save the episode of being another boring Dr. Animo episode but the best is that Rob Paulsen did the voice, the ditto's personality goes well with the voice of Rob.

The next episode i'm not that excited, it's not becuase of the villain but that Ben and Grandpa turn into kids or babies it's just lame.

i liked this epi showed more of Gwen's evolving powers..Ben was more annoying then usual the writers have to be careful not to make fans hate the main protagonist..i was excited about the new alien when i saw the preview..Ditto looks cool but its power sucks AND it saps omni power forget that man...it multiplies and then it does nothing after that...not only that it can feel the other copy's pain when is that ever going to be useful?..no thanx this alien is staying in the watch...only alien i hate thus far

Useful in instances where he needs to do multiple things at once, or needs more than one person for something.

I couldn't quite catch the beginning of the episode, but is it true that Ditto pulled a Naruto, by saying "Alien Clone Jutsu"?

This has been a really funny episode. It's nice being able to hear an actor from the old Tiny Toons days.

I was wondering, though, could the three Ditto clones have been able to create more clones, even without the forth clone around?

Ditto is interesting because he can make many clones, but he's also one of the most worthless forms Ben has unlocked. I will say it was great though when Animo managed to aquire some of the watches DNA and make all those Stinkfly clones.

As for the next new episode, I've always enjoyed age reversal ones, so I can't wait to see what happens.

No, Kagetsu was joking.
:anime: Yes, no that was a joke like *pokes in your side*"Look, Naruto jutsu" Along with the Billy Numorous reference. It would have been sO funny had he said it though.

but he's also one of the most worthless forms Ben has unlocked. Like Cannonbolt and Wildvine. It may be that the intro show isn't really the best episode for the new alien. But we may never see it again, hard to say with this show.

Snap, I can see Gwen having alot of fun with childish Ben AND Grampa Max :anime:

..Ben was more annoying then usual the writers have to be careful not to make fans hate the main protagonist.. Oh but it gave Gwen so many very funny facial expressions, I can't count them all

Interesting episode and it was freak'n GREAT to hear Rob Paulsen. Though his high pitched voice rather reminded me of Yuri Lowenthal at first.

I understand what you're saying..but Upgrade can fuse with any machine AND use electricity...Gray Matter is smart AND hes small so he can fit in all those knooks and crannies...Ripjaws is an Amphibian can swim fast AND has crazy Jaw strength... Ditto can multiply(thats it)...i just wish they did more with the character like when he splits they have different personalities i know extremly cliche but at least its something

like Kagetsu said maybe its just because its the intro show so they have yet to reveal more

Don't tell me I'm the only viewer of this show annoyed by the fact that Gwen has magic abilities, am I? I really enjoyed this show up until she started using them all the time, and then I pretty much said 'alright, this is getting ridiculous'. I understand that this is a 'anything goes' show, but for Ben 10 sakes, it almost gets eye-rollingly awful every time Gwen has to try and 1-up Ben with her abilities.

Basically, I really wish they never really had Gwen get powers in the first place... not only does it kind of give off a lazy feel that they can't really do anything with her character in the first place, well, it just bothers me when they give side characters bigger roles to fill air space and to constantly trump the main character. Ben is a jerk sometimes, sure, but Gwen already reminds him that every other line regardless of her lame magic powers showing him up now and then.

Then again, I'm not really a 'huge fan' of the show, so.. yeah.

I'm alright that she has magic powers but she has mastered them really fast. The Omnitrix still messes up for Ben and yet Gwen's magic works flawlessly.

Actually, no. Gwen was the only one with no special powers or abilities other than her martial arts.

Ben got the watch and Grandpa has his technology from the plummers and Gwen....well, nothing until now.

I think it's good they give the other characters a bigger role than the main one, if they don't do that, it's just goanna be the same thing over and over. Main hero saves the day without any help and keep going and going until people get sick of it.

You have to remember that Ben and Gwen are very different. Ben for example he doesn't take the time to actually read or try to practice more on his abilities, he only wants to kick the bad guy's butt and for Gwen however she takes time to practice and master her new abilities. Look at what happened on the what if episode, Gwen could master the omnitrix alot better than Ben so there's no surprise that her magic goes flawlessly but of course she can make some mistakes.

Yeah it is in character for Gwen to be reading the book and mastering magic off screen while that sort of thing for mastering the Omnitrix would not be in character for Ben. Plus the magic spell caster uses seems much more common in this world (Gwen looked up Hex's magic on the Internet in his first episode and Carmcaster's is probably alot alike.) then the omnitrix which Ben only master once by luck but did not even have the sence to write doen how he figured that out. If he even could right it down, he might not have known that he did.

I fully agree that the show should 'mix it up' more often, but it still bothers me whenever Gwen is on screen. Maybe I just hate her character, I dunno, she just annoys me to the point where I consider changing the channel. I still don't agree with Gwen getting magical powers... but like I said, anything apparently goes with that show so it's not too big of a deal. I knew right when there was a hint that she was getting them that I wouldn't like the show as much.

Even with the dull Dr. Animo back again, Ben's ideas of fun with his newest alien in the Omnitrex really made this episode enjoyable to watch. Ditto, and his ability to split himself into many pieces. Fun, but will require more strategic thinking in battles to be effective.

I'm also gonna call out 'Gwen the Magician.' I don't mind the fact that she's helping Ben... heck, I applaud it. Problem is, the writers are giving us stilted development. Sure, she spends part of this episode reading a pocket spellbook, but it would make it more believable if we saw Gwen struggle to say spells or learn how to do them right. Apparently, a lot of the 'trial and error' is taking place off-screen, and that could lead to some to suggest that Gwen's magic can trump Grandpa Max's alien-fighting weaponry and Ben's Omnitrex, and the writers seem to insinuate it that way, even if it's not their true intent. Gwen should be subject to 'growing pains' too, you know?

Oh, and the less I can say about Dr. Animo, the better. Forget him.

"Divided We Stand": 4/5.

I'm actually concerned that that could happen. I mean, there's no limit to what magic can do. I guess they will just have to have her use magic in ways where none of Ben's alien's forms could help. Like that tornado thing she did.

Then again, I'm not really a 'huge fan' of the show, so.. yeah.Actually, since the main underlying theme of the story is that Ben isn't The hero. Bringing Gwen into learning to be more useful and having her abilities grow with Grampa Max's mediating influence, makes great sense. Gwen was a big help from the beginning with her martial arts and strategy. Magic gives her something to be better with too.

This is to me the best part of the show. They all need each others strengths to win. I also tend to like magic in a show as long as "spiritual rules" are followed and not just "I have magic, you don't, any off the wall change is possible". Easy writing for the show without any substance. (.ie Zixx on Legion of Super Heroes)

I'm actually concerned that that could happen. I mean, there's no limit to what magic can do. This is a great failing in cartoons that use magic. Magic is give and take. You give to get. It isn't simple "anything goes". My favorite magic is Chinese. For every evil, there is a good, but neither can win if the balance is maintained.
