First...Power Rangers Wild Force. I sat through one hour, of which I must say...is the WORST season of PR I have ever forced myself to painstakingly sit through. Oh my God. It was like a MUCH WORSE version of Mighty Morhping Power Rangers(season 1), only with a really good budget. This was so unbearably aweful...I'm sorry. I loved MMPR when I was a kid. And grew up with the series. I guess it peaked with PRTime Force(Which was SO GOOD), but Wild Force...is so....bad. bad enough to make me want to cry....*sigh*. I'll watch maybe 2 or three more episodes...but if it doesn't get better...

After that hour from hell, I pressed the fast forward on my controller...and then...

GALIDOR!!!
I loved this show. I can't express how happy I was with this show. Nicks best friend(Allegra?) wasn't great...but otherwise, this is one show I am NOT going to miss! I loved every second of it(especially the classroom scene :p ). The graphics were beautiful(The opening sequence was great), but the "glinch" scene(With Gorms head flying from the sky) didn't look as impressive. For a kids show, on Fox..I give it two thumbs up! :D

What's Galidor about? I didn't see any promotions for it, and I had to go out shopping in a VCR-free area. Still, I saw a shot of it in a "what's on next" ad, and I got a real "Xyber 9" vibe from it (read: it's a good show & it won't be given a real shot).

I really trying to watch PR wild force, but it really bad. The acting and writing were terrible. This is like the earlier season of pr except the special effects are better, but the writing is terrible, acting is bad, and no zordon. The villians seem to be complete imbeciles. Another problem I have with pr wild force is that the power rangers do nothing but be power rangers, and they suck at being power rangers. You'd think people that were power rangers could fight. I guess not.

I'm giving Power Rangers Wild Force a chance. I've been a fan since MMPR... and i haven't stopped watching it, so i'm not gonna complain about briging back old Rangers and seeing Zordon again (since he DIED in 1998 during PRiS).

it's only the first two episodes... so i'm gonna give it a chance... I like the characters... they were believable, the effects are great...the only complaint from me are the villains, and shayla... right now, i especially like the yellow & pink rangers...

You guys didn't like the first two episodes of GaoRanger??? Oh wait.....I mean Power Rangers Wild Force. I just mistakenly called it GaoRanger because the episodes we saw were so close to its sentai counterpart that the only difference was the fact that the rangers were American instead of Japanese. Ah well, if people weren't into these episodes, I really don't think they would have enjoyed Hyakujuu Sentai GaoRanger.*shrugs*

BTW, I must be the ONLY one who didn't care for Galidor. It's like that other stupid show, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog(I think that's how the title went) in my eyes. It was dull.

For me, it's alway been the writers that made the show and these new guys have some stuff to prove now.

Here's my review of it:

I'm not a mindless bloke who hates and cuts on things because it's new.

I liked the preimier of Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue was alright and I thought Time Force was phenomenal. But... something really felt off for me on the Wild Force premier. Almost scene for scene they're copying Gaoranger... which I don't mind all that much. I don't wan them to completely frell the story, but....

And the theme song grates on me. I was so in love with that last one they had that this one just doesn't jibe with me. That and no... they don't have the word "GO!" in it! First reaction someone would jump to would be, "so.." but for me it's the little things.

Like Sonic tapping his foot in impatience when you first played him on the Genesis. Or how the Rangers are always so amazed and blow away every time they get new Zords.

This new theme is missing a that lil' element that I love.

As for acting... Cole... well, he sucks; but in that good Power Ranger way. He's okay by me. Makes me chuckle when he delivers a line.

Max... eh... not pleasing to the eye, but he's got personality.

Danny.... love 'im. Great presence and personality. Both being wonderfully humble.

WildWhite.... sexy kitten.. acting.. eh. She's not bad.

Taylor.... EH! I am in utter love with her hard edged attitude. She's no Jen from Time Force, but I can't take my eyes off her in every scene!

Shayla... alright, I don't mind bad acting, but hers doesn't belong on this kind of show. She definately seems like a Disney or Barney show reject. I hope she shapes up.

Toxica... she must've gone to the same school of acting as Shayla.

Anyway, as others have said... it's just the first two episodes. I'm on for the entire trip, but for me they've started out on the wrong foot.

Hope it gets better, cuz I'm missing Judd Lynn already. :(

It's only the first two episodes, so I'm more than willing to give it another go. But I'm going to be happy we're getting Power Ranger Theatre and a re-airing of Power Rangers Time Force.

Hey JC! Did you see some of the clips from Hurricanger yet? At first, I was a little scared with the whole ninja theme, but Hurricanger really looks good! I can't wait to see these Orange and Purple rangers as well.......

I'm only afraid of how it would be handled in America:( BTW, isn't it weird that the day before GaoRanger ends, Power Rangers WildForce begins? I'm really gonna miss GaoSilver, but I just hope the American Silver ranger does GaoSilver justice!

PRWF:

Ouch! This is BAD.The new (And Probaly last) Season of PR just MIGHT be the worst. It's TOO faithful to the first season!

Galidor:

I wasn't REALLY watching but what I saw was good.

Actually, I haven't seen any Hurricanger footage yet. Can you hook me up with a link?

I really miss Judd Lynn and Mackie, the guys who were writing the show before. I really hope the new guys are talented enough.

LSG, have you been buying Gaoranger fansubs? You seem to know an awful lot about the show, or is all you know from Sylvan's Sentai Spoilers?

I need to get my hands on this Hurricanger stuff. I love ninjas... I just hope it's half as good as Kakuranger!

Kakuranger vs Gaoranger... that's going to be a pretty awesome movie.

I used to get as many clips as I could from that site. Then, I think it was you(or somebody) that introduced me to Sentai Spoilers. I also have a friend who's relative owns a local store around my way that sell bootleg Japanese stuff, such as sentai tapes;) That's why I know so much about GaoRanger this time around. The only problem with the tapes are that they aren't subbed, so that's when I check out the Spoilers website. Also, do you check out alt.fan.sentai(or something like that)? That's where I found a crapload of Hurricanger pics. Looking at the whole ninja scenes shows me that this series will probably be hard to recreate for an American version. Oh yeah, when you D/L the trailer, check out the background music! It's so 80s and disco-ish....I love it! I just don't think there will be any CGI zords in that series tho'.

Also, check out my review over at http://www.classichero.com

Sentai is Japanese Power Rangers, but with better more hard edged serious plots.
