I was at the store today and found a Futurama comic I didn't know it exsisted. So, I looked it up on wikipedia and found that it's released about every 2-3 months which is pretty cool. i wonder if it will become monthly when it comes back with new eps. Oh and another thing are any based on the show since the one I read today was As the Wormhole Turns which was hilarious and wasn't based on an episode. :zoidberg:

Not that this matters at this point (because of the new DVDs being made), but I always wondered why the creators and writers of Futurama didn't officially take hold of the comic, to create some "canon" stories and continue the adventures of the characters and the universe they worked so hard to develop (like the new Gargoyles comic, Buffy, etc).
They were upset by the cancellation, and even said the full story wasn't told, but the characters still lived on in this comic, which they...pretty much did nothing with?

They aren't based on episodes, but (like with The Simpsons) they can at times feel like "What If...?" versions of episodes. I'm not sure if that makes any sense.
They even had two seperate The Simpsons/ Futurama crossovers. The first one was pretty bad. I haven't read the second one.

I just wonder why the folks behind the show didn't take advantage of the fact that stories with Fry and the Gang were still continuing, despite their show being canceled, and take charge and further the story they had in mind. I've heard them say many times they never got to finish their story.
Of course this doesn't matter now, wooooo.
