In Yahoo Search images bar,i saw this... thing or maybe a toy that's called "Hanna-Barbera's Sound FX" or something like that... Please if you know,tell me more about it!

I own a CD of HB's sound effects. Maybe you came across that.

There's really two different versions. The common one is Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Sound FX (http://www.amazon.com/Hanna-Barbera-Cartoon-Sound-Rhino-Records/dp/B0000033FC) which looks to be out of print now and can be purchased at places like Amazon.com. However, there is also the Sound Ideas Hanna-Barbera Sound FX Library (http://www.soundideas.org/hb.html) which is a four-disc set that's about $500 along with a separate Hanna-Barbera Lost Treasures (http://www.sound-ideas.com/hblt.html) Sound FX CD for $130. These are very extensive and have basically almost every Hanna-Barbera sound effect ever created, but are a little too expensive.

I thought the H-B sound effects were actually public domain...just about every cartoon had the same sounds in the 70's, right?

Rhino records offered a CD full of Hanna Barbera sound effects which also included a bunch of answering machine messages from the likes of Top Cat, Quick Draw McGraw and Snagglepuss. I think I got mine through BMG Music Service about 1997 or so. There was also a Warner Brothers Animation Sound effects out about the same time too...JUST in case you couldn't get enough of hearing those long distance falls that Wile E. took from those cliffs in so many classic Looney Tunes.

The reason that the Hanna Barbera Sound FX disks are so high, like the sets is because it is alot of the sound effects used in the Hanna Barbera cartoons and plus whenever you but the sets you can use the sound effects anyway that you like, meaning you are licensed to them and you can use them on the radio for example bc you own the rights to use them.:p
