I enjoy the episode. I found it amusing how they explain Freema Agyeman already appearing in the series as her "cousin" during last season Daleks vs Cybermen invasion. Martha seem likable so far. Juddon look pretty wicked. Never expected rhinos as extreme cops. I found interesting the way transported hospital into the moon.Anyway good episode.

This episode was nice. Plenty of action and an appropriate way for The Doctor to meet his new companion. I must admit, I was set on disliking the new companion. Not having been a Who fan for very long, the coming and going of cast members regularly is odd to me, especially when it's a character I like. Despite my best efforts, I actually found Martha to hold promise as the new companion. She's intelligent and quick, but she's also not Rose. I do hope they take this character in a different direction than they went with Rose; it would be quite disheartening to see The Doctor go from one love interest right to another.

I can't believe I didn't notice it before. Must have been the Bluetooth earpieces. Some kind of built-in perception filter.

Loved the Judoon, Tennent was in his top form (perhaps in order to best impress Martha?), and Martha left me with a smile on my face. The episode was fantastically Doctor Who style (the straw was great), and a much better introduction for Martha than Rose got.

Very happy with the whole episode. The "radiation" scene will probably stick out in my mind as one of Tennent's best scene's ever. I give it 5 stars.

I think I may like Martha more than I did Rose, mainly due to the fact that she's more grounded than Rose was.

And yea, the Doctor radiation scene was all kinds of awesomeness.

I actually saw this on CBC, not SciFi. Anyways, I really enjoyed it. I liked Rose but I think Ms. Jones will make an interesting change. I hope they will continue to write her as they did in this first episode. She's clearly more mature and educated than Rose so hopefully, she won't be relying on "street smarts" to contribute. Also, though I liked Rose's stubborn emotional (illogical) response to a lot of situations, I'm hoping Martha will be more level-headed.

Oh, and the Doctor was good in this one. I think I'll always prefer Christopher Eccelston (and the writing from season one) but when this Doctor is good, he's amusing to watch.

Incidently; that whole death by instant disintigration is not a one off incident in this series.

Infact, it happens quite a damn lot.

Lots of fun here, especially throwbacks to the same episode last season with the Doctor noticing the little shop. There were definite links to 'Rose' but thankfully they weren't as blatant as in Torchwood's 'Everything Changes'. I can kinda see why longtime fans call the Judoon Sontaran rip offs but I think they worked well enough for the story. Certain fans certainly seem to want them back. The radiation dance was fun, ESPECIALLY because when this originally aired most of us were dreading a fart gag.

I wonder who this Mr Saxon is.

I hear he's a brilliant politician, and an amazing man. I believe he may be up for Time Magazine's Person of the Year! only someone like Mr. Saxon could follow up "You!"
