Who has the simpsons airing in their local market. I do it airs weeknights @ 7pm on WPME (MNTV). Ok the purpose of this thread is just to say if u have the simpsons in ur area and if u watch it. Also u could just say ur favorite episode or character or something like this so the thread doesn't have to be closed if this has know purpose. So anyways my favorite character is homer becasue of all his problems. I've watched it for almost 7 years in my area with it switching from now defunct Fox 51 which is now the cw to WPME back to the cw affiliate and again back to WPME. All of which it has always been at 7pm. :zoidberg:

Uh.........okay. Well, my local station (WSMH) airs The Simpsons weekdays at 6:00 and 7:00. And on Sundays on Fox, itself at 8:00.

Fox 59 airs it here weeknights at 6 and 7. They've recently started airing the first seasons again. It depends on the episode that's on. I won't watch a lot of the later seasons just because they're not as good as the original seasons.

The CW in my area shows the show at 6:00(Central). But syndication isn't my thing. They cut stuff out like Krusty in the Radioactive Man movie episode. And Bart the raven saying "Eat My Shorts".

FOX 35 airs it at 6:30 & 7:30 PM side-by-side with King Of The Hill.

It's the same for me....I haven't watched it in awhile, though (I'm not usually home at 7:30,and if I'm watching TV at 11:30,it's usually South Park or Family Guy reruns while I'm on the computer).....it seems like they only play the episodes from the last two or three seasons,anyway....

WCGV (channel 24, Milwaukee) airs "The Simpsons" two or three times an evening; think they were hyping up an extra (third) episode to push the movie. Don't usually watch, however---most of the reruns seem to be of post-season 7/8 episodes...

Sort of a pointless thread, but... It plays about four times a day here, once at 5 PM on one channel, then at 6 on OMNI1, at 9 on the Comedy Network, then at either 10 or 10:30 on some other channel.

I get both WFXT-FOX 25 Boston and WNAC-FOX 64 Providence in my area. However, I haven't had much of a reason to watch "The Simpsons" on either affiliate, since I have the first nine seasons uncut on DVD and the second nine seasons don't do a whole lot for me.
However, I do have a video archive of syndicated "Simpsons" reruns from late 2001 to mid-2004, as well as all the network episodes from that time. They've sort of become obsolete now in the wake of the DVDs, but if I ever get the desire to watch an episode from Seasons 13-15, I have them at my fingertips without any edits.

it's always been on Fox 5 here since 1994, usually 2 episodes a night.

Fox23 (Albany NY) runs back-2-back Simpsons from 7-8 M-F. This is the same channel that has King of the Hill as a lead-in to South Park in late night.

Fox-11 in Los Angeles, CA plays The Simpsons a lot; about 3 times a day on Mondays through Fridays at 6 PM, 7:30 PM and 11PM. On weekends I think its on 7:30 Saturdays and 6 on Sundays.

Fox 29 shows it weekdays at 6:00pm and 7:00pm. I wonder why the Simpsons doesn't appear on any cable channels like FX, even though they're in syndication.

If you get any Fox channel, odds are you're getting the Simpsons. I get it more often since I live in Canada. Fox (of course), CBC, OMNI 1, Comedy Network, and Global. Global tends to show uncut eps (the same as the DVD) unlike the others who show the cut versions.

I think you just answered your own question. The Simpsons doesn't need to air on basic cable since it's already being run on every local affiliate in America in syndication.

I was watching the simpsons tonight and saw that coming up next is the first episode of Season 18 so that means syndication is now caught up with the show or does this happen after every season or did they get more than just Season 18 this year. :zoidberg:

Well, the season is officially over on FOX, so I presume that the Season 18 episodes have been sent to the syndication market by now. It does seem a little earlier than usual, though - traditionally, the most recent network season doesn't enter syndication until August or September.
But on the plus side, maybe this season's quick entry into the local stations means that they didn't have to cut as much out of these episodes. They keep whining on the DVD commentaries that the show length has been cut down to 20 minutes (and yet, Al Jean still can't get the show to come in at the right length to save his life), so maybe that's suitable for the syndicators' needs. Just substitute most of those friggin' two-minute couch gags, and a lot of Season 18 would easily meet the standard syndication length.

WFTC airs it weekdays from 6-7pm. It use to air from 5-6pm and 10:30-11pm. I really wish they'd bring back it's late-night slot because that was the best time to watch The Simpsons.
