Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, as this is my first post here. Just curious, cause I haven't read anything about it until now.

thanks.

ANYWAY... I was checking out Michael Reaves' site earlier and scanned his updated resume. It reads...

* One episode of He-Man and the Masters Of the Universe, produced by Mattel, Inc. for the Cartoon Network, 2002.

Just thought I would find out what I could.

No HTML I see. :p

Please tell me they are basing the design off of the new Toy Line..

They look so freaking cool... And do you think this series will be like the original or have a more serious tone to accomidate todays fans ?

One more thing... What are The Chances of She-Ra making an appearance on the show, or even a come back as well ?

Last I had heard this wasn't a series - just a movie that retells He-Man's origin, with the story based off of the original series.

Well, first of all, He-Man's gotta get his own series. Then, if that does well and the toys sell well, there's a chance that She-Ra could make a come back.

Sounds interesting. Dose anyone know which studio is producing this movie? I know that Filmation no longer exists. In the meantime, here's an interesting artical on He-Man for you to look at.

The best place to go for info and questions about the new He-Man special is He-Man.org (http://www.he-man.org). All the He-Man and She-Ra fanatics and gurus are at the forums there.

As far as I know, not much is being revealed except that it is a special, not a series (though there may be a chance of one coming along), and that it will be an origin story of how Prince Adam became He-Man.

As for She-Ra, all I can say is that the focus is on He-Man right now. There's no consideration to revamp her line or to bring her back, not yet anyways (if they are considering it).

Well, if the movie gets enough ratings, it's always a possibility. :bosko:

From what has been provided at He-Man.org, Michael Young Productions is making the new show. I guess this same company made Clifford the big red dog cartoons not too long ago. This info was made known by a guy who works at Lou Scheimer Productions who really wanted to make the new show, but apparently they came too late as Mattel had approached the other company first. What burns them is that Lou Scheimer produced the original series and really wanted to do this new one and Mattel never thought to approach him about doing it. They're also upset cause Lou helped make Mattel billions off of the original He-Man line with the TV show. So they feel pretty insulted. Lou had a game plan when he approached Mattel about it. He had talked to the original voice actors and some of the original animators about doing it, and they told him that they would love to do it, but again, Lou came too late as by that time, another production company was hard at work on it. We the fans really wish that Lou would have gotten it and now we're all anxious to see what the animation and new voice acting is gonna be like. Michael Reeves writing it however is encouraging. Gargoyles was very good, and his episode of He-Man that he did was good too

I think the new show would have a better chance on a network channel, but other than that, I can't think of a better place to have it on than good ol' Cartoon Network. With this news, I'm hoping that maybe CN will show the original episodes. With all the rumors flying around lately about Turner picking up the original G.I. Joe cartoon, this could really turn out great.
