It looks like, for some unknown reason, that CN can't use Re-Animated as the title for their upcoming series based on last year's movie.

What's the series' new title? Out of Jimmy's Head.

Okay, Not only does the name suck but it's breaking the motion that there's an new rule.

There was a series that was named after the movie called "**bleep**: The Series" and that didn't break any laws.

They're just being rediciolus and ignoring any motion of the name.

Call it whatever you will, it still spells crap in my books. Re-Animated: the movie featured some of the worst acting I've ever seen. The human cast made the gang on Saved By the Bell look like Shakesperean thespians. So IMPO, the real crime here isn't the unnecessary name change, but the fact that CN is still greenlighting this trainwreck.

Cartoon Network must've figured out that the name Re-Animated was already used for a B-Movie before the production of Re-Animated started. So to avoid any sueings, they had to think of a new time. I wouldn've called it Out Of Jimmy's Head. But you want to know what would be a better title? It would be called:

Re-Celled - Because the two writers of My Gym Partner's A Monkey might have gotten their brain cells fried when they thought of this, but decided to use the ones from little kids who had watched the movie. It's genius! - :p

Wouldn't be the first time a series has been re-named after airing it's "pilot" episode on Cartoon Network. Don't forget that Megas XLR was called Lowbrow in it's 6 minute premiere in 2002 and then had to be changed to Megas since Lowbrow was a copyrighted name or soemthing. Same probable case with Re-Animated, although obviously people are more upset with the show then the head. I'm espically bothered at the "perfect project to launch Cartoon Network into a series featuring live-action characters" line. Does that mean we have to deal with even more of these hybrids coming out? Ugh, CN digs themselves even lower then. Espically since Re-Animated was pretty bad and "Out Of Jimmy's Head" will likley not improve on it's movie pilot.

Kury Wagner

"OOJH" looks funny. =\

It also makes me think of Jimmy Neutron instantly, since it not only has "Jimmy" in the title, but also "Head," of which Neutron was constantly mocked for.

The ring of the title isn't that bad... It just seems... awkward. I didn't think "Re-Animated" fit the movie, either, though. But! It's better than, like, "Jimmy & His Friends" or something lame like that. I would've preferred something involving "Gollyworld" in the title.

Eh, fairly bad move, CN.

I assure you in the utmost I was under no impression you were an adult.

DarthGonzo is correct, though; the upper reaches of CN's target demographic is the age of 11. MAYBE age 12 if you really want to push it. That's it. If you're older than that, CN doesn't care about you; you aren't the target market for the products sold by the advertisers who purchase ad time during CN's programming and therefore you generate no revenue for the network or its advertisers. Now, consider that the minimum age for registering at Toon Zone is 13 years old, assuming that all involved parties are honest about their ages.

The math is yours to do.

Finally, someone who gets it.

It's fine if your an adult who enjoys watching Cartoon Network. And us 28 year olds are pretty lucky the minds behind stuff like Fosters, Billy and Mandy and Ed, Edd and Eddy are able to make their shows enjoyable to both kids and adults.

But the network itself couldn't give a crap about your opinion if your older than 12. It doesn't care that members here think there are too many marathons. It doesn't care about our ideas about how it can please it's "viewers" and it doesn't care if we dont like Re-Animated or the all the live-action it shows.

Why?

Because the advertisers are pushing cheap children's toys and crappy, tasteless cereals. They honestly couldn't care less about teenagers or younger adults who still shed tears over the old Toonami or cry that Looney Tunes is off the network or whatever old-school Cn fans complain about these days.

Fair enough, but what happens when their current targeted demograph tire of the same school settings and marathon? Or should their next group of viewers prefer something different than the norm? After all when a network is set in their ways, change can be pretty hard.

Better to try different show ideas now while they have their hits to fall back on.

Simply put, if the CN execs notice a slip in the ratings, they'll do focus groups and find out what kids 12 and under want to see, and then they'll reprogram the channel accordingly.

I know what you're going to say, that CN should start airing canceled Cartoon-Cartoons alongside of their established hits, or pull a bunch of late 80's-early 90's toons out of the vault to re-air on CN, but as long as there's a Boomerang channel and those old CN shows are no longer making new episodes, that's never going to happen.

Actually, just air any available title that they're will to show on the network, therefore reducing the number of reruns. So, next time don't rush to judgement.

They do have at least I believe 8-9 shows (Not counting Toonami) that they're will to air, so at the very least have those 7 shows rather than just say the 4-5 they've been doing.

I gave Re-Animated a chance. I hated it. I'm willing to give Out Of Jimmy's Head a chance, but they'll need some drastic changes. If they do it similar to Space Jam, I can't complain, but changing the name doesn't change how bad the movie was. Kids will remember the movie and not want to watch the show. CN should know that by seeing how the numbers declined with each re-airing, whereas Naruto's and DBZ's re-airings may not be as high but remain consistent.

BCVM22, I think there ARE people here that know about this "demographic" thing. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody, but I think what all we're trying to do is say our opinion about shows. We don't care that CN people or people from other cartoon channels don't care about people's opinions about their shows, based on demographic targets or not. It looks like, for some unknown reason, that CN can't use Re-Animated as the title for their upcoming series based on last year's movie.

What's the series' new title? Out of Jimmy's Head.

I still call it "The show I'm not planning to watch" so it does not matter to me what CN calls it.

Yeah, I really hate how CN keeps showing live animations on the network.

I admit it was a bad movie. It deserved to be cancelled right in the middle of it's first showing but you have to admit, it had a good title. Only name I could come up with was "Animated Again", which is probably worse than the current title.
