Good, Hunters was ruined due to the stupid. Anyway, I love the artwork to Metroid, but I hope the game is better than the second Prime. Good god did that game suck.

Good god did that game suck.it didn't so much suck as it was all done before in prime 1. seriously, guys. what's with the echoes bashing? it was the exact same gameplay as the first prime game except with different visors and beam weapons. the only downfall of prime 2 is that very gameplay. it was all done before. heck. if anything, i thought prime 2 was more difficult. i found myself dying a bit more. took some actual strategy to beat the bosses as opposed to just firing constant super missles
anyway, from prime 3's box art, it appears the world will be split in two again. not sure how i feel about that

The Metroid Prime 3: Corruption art doesn't wow me at all, but I'm definitely looking forward to this game.
What's with all the Metroid Prime/Metroid Prime 2: Echoes hate anyway?

Metroid art is meh, still think the game's going to be good.
Am I the only one here that is looking forward to BWii?

The problem wasn't the gameplay, but the environment. (then again, the original Metroid Prime's environment is really hard for anything to top)

Yup. I'd have had no problem with Metroid Prime 2 "doing exactly what Prime did" with its gameplay (if it ain't broke, don't fix it), but the environments and overall level design was plain and uninspired, with little variety. On top of that, I absolutely hate the "light world/dark world" device that Nintendo (and others) use from time to time because it artificially inflates the game length by forcing you to essentially traverse the same place twice.
That said, I still enjoyed Prime 2 alot and don't feel it deserves most of the bashing it does get. I just hope Prime 3 is a little more like Prime's level designs and pacing, with harder difficulty.
Also, the "BWii" part of the Batalion Wars logo is barf inducingly bad. Get rid of that, now, Nintendo. The game is "Batalion Wars 2" not "Batalion Warsii"

I had no idea that they even released the GC version of Famicom Wars in America until just now because of the title.

I think BWii mean BW2. They're just in lowercase.
The Metroid Prime 3 do need some improve.

Am I the only one who thinks the Metroid Prime 3 cover looks awesome?I wouldn't say "awesome", but I don't think it's terrible, either. I think the biggest thing annoying me about it is that random looking reflection of Samus in the top left corner. For all I know it hints at something in the game, but from my standpoint it just looks like they had some blank space in the corner and had to slap something there to make it look busier. I'm also not real fond of the earth blending into space in the bottom right corner... it just looks odd. *shrugs*
I actually enjoy both covers.
Now, Escaflowne Pilot, the reason why Battalion Wars 2's initial are "BWii" and not "BW2" is because of the Wii moniker. Wii has 2 I's; the Roman numeral for two is 2 I's. The initials resonate and are catchy. Plus, it was announced at last year's E3 that the game's initials will be called BWii.
And, Tash, they could have called it Wii Wars if it wasn't for the fact that Wii Wars implies having your Miis going militaristic on each other, just like how Wii Sports had the Miis playing sports. I doubt BWii will have Mii integration.

Without prior knowledge, it doesn't immediately suggest that they're going for "Battalion Wars 2" with lower case roman numerals - it looks more like they're simply sticking the word "Wii" on the end of the initials "BW" as though that's somehow clever.
To each his own - I think it's too gimmicky looking myself - too many plays on words at once in one small logo, if you will. But I guess there are those who think this kind of stuff is cute, and that's fine.

There's apparently 3 Samuses from what I gather
Allthough it could just be redundancy. That cover layout would have been more fitting for Prime 2 since it had the whole light/dark theme.

No, not quite. Samus is standing at center, reflected from behind by whatever shiny curtain she's standing with her back to. Dark Samus' helmet is at the upper left of the box art. That's 2 Samuses (Samusi?).

Well from what I gather means from what I presume from the information I know which means a presumption is similar to a hunch
so yes
Layout wise it really doesn't make any sense because that's clearly dark samus behind regular samus. Look at the Helmet, Samus' visor has rectangular/angled edges where as the Dark Samus behind her has rounded edges on her visor, also both gun arms are different. The Floating Helmet in the left corner is also different from the other two Samus in design.
So it seems to be 3 different Samus people

I disagree. Look, specifically, at the reflection of Samus' blaster arm. It's rippling like water as a result of the reflective curtain of whatever substance she's standing near/in, accounting for the image differing from Samus proper. It's the same up near the reflection of her helmet. Furthermore, Dark Samus as we saw her/it in Echoes didn't have the small fins on the shoulder pads like real Samus does, whereas the reflection on this cover does. Additionally, it could also be Samus' corrupted form (as mentioned in articles about the game), but even if that's the case, it's still our Samus, just with some slight differences.
There are 2, count 'em 2 (two/II/dos/ni), Samuses on the cover. Samus proper is standing at center, reflected from behind by some manner of wall of rippling material. Dark Samus is at the upper left.

While I don't know anything about anything in the Metroid series, what I see is what you call a reflection of samus is facing a different way than samus is. Samus is facing the viewer of the cover, while the other samus is facing the first one. Therefore, unless somebody made a messup when designing the cover, that could not be a reflection of samus.

No. Look closely. Her body is turned away from the viewer, her face is looking directly at the viewer. Relative to her body, her head is turned back towards the reflective surface, causing the left side of her helmet to be reflected in the wall.

Not that's not a reflection
notice that if it were a reflection the chin visor piece on her helmet would be covered by the shoulder guard in both images of samus if it were a reflection. Where as Original Samus helmet visor is not obscured by anything, the reason being the heads are in two different positions and it wouldn't look that way from a 3/4's perspective. It's certainly not an exact reflection it is way too off in many areas. And it's not being caused by any filter but general positioning of the two Samuses.
While it's definetly the Dark Samus or some form of it(I'm betting it's going to be similar to Dark Jak in this game where she can transform into it) from MP2.
and who ever is in the upper left corner is going to be some yet to be introduced character, there was a male counterpart to samus that has been mentioned in the earlier games so it may just wind up being him. Allthough with a new character this could also mean a story that progresses the events ala Half Life.

I gotta say, BCVM's got a point. I see the ripple now (and note that the colors are exclusive to each side of this, um... Stargate).
Corrupted Samus gets suit modifications, and it's both sides of Samus.

i am in full agreement with bcvm22. i am going to go ahead and also say that gigan never played prime 2 since anybody who did play it can tell that the character in the top left corner is dark samus (the light blue visor and darker suit match perfectly) and that the reflection is not dark samus because if you did play echoes, you'd notice that the reflection is not wearing the suit dark samus wears

So, yeah. Dark Samus, Corrupted Samus, and Samus Samus.
Ten to one odds we're back to just one Samus by the end of it, since it's supposed to be the end of the Prime Trilogy.

Eh but I have Prime 2 Dark Samus was that Alien lifefom that took the quasi shape of Samus.
figured it might have been an upgraded form or whatever because at the end of Prime 2 she blasts off into space and another metroid appears. I mean after the last suit upgrade for Prime 2(the Ipod-esque Suit IIRC) I figured that some of the dark matter might have stuck with her and not have exactly looked like it did in MP2 and since it wouldn't be the entire alien lifeform itself it wouldn't have been as drastic of an alteration. Considering that MP1 did use the last boss to establish Prime 2 and tied it into the game abilites I was more or less thinking that Prime 2's final battle would pretty much do the same for 3.
Also the one in the top left corner isn't the same model for Dark Samus in MP2. The Visor is still different as well as the helm, there are no segmented indentations in the helm's armor and the visor isn't smoothed and instead has a direct point in the brow. It's also got clearly visable mechanical parts in the MP3 image rather than the organic accents. So it's really not the spitting image of Dark Samus from Prime 2 due to the alterations, and I thought it was different enough to possibly determine that there's a chance that it's a new character.

Prime 2 was repetitive. Traveling into the dark world just to fight a few ghost pirates to unlock a door that you can only get to in the DW then teleport back to the LW in that room and fight more ghost pirates to unlock the door that will take you back to the DW to get to another room that gives you a missile expansion you need for no appearant reason is the reason I do not like Echoes. It was BORING and way too much backtracking. Prime 1 was fun to backtrack in, but Prime2 was not.
