Now that was a good episode. I'll just list a few of things that made it so great:
The Beast - He brought out the soft side of Tamika, had a little Tamika doll, and then dumped her at the end.
Sunny - Those gadgets were neat and the super hero idea was carried out well.
Lil' D's protection squad - The way they made that dramatic entrance into the grocery store was awesome.
Kim's detective skills - He can't be a super hero, because he's a fireman. That was great.
Tamika - The star of the episode did not disappoint. She gave us a lot of slapstick comedy and her rampage was brilliant.
The song - I don't know how much other people liked it, it really stood out to me, since I'm a percussionist and all. The video game theme was a good idea, though they could've done a bit more with it.Another thing this episode had going for it was its unpredictability. For most of the other Class of 3000 episodes, the plot is pretty basic and it's easy to see where it's going. This episode had me guessing until the very end of the drum battle.

I would say this is easily one of the greatest episodes yet, if not the best. The only one that can truly compete with it is the pilot.

It's not like the episode would've ended with Eddie's face planted on the camera, as a result of Tamika bullying him. That would be too cliché, as it already happened with Jack Spicer.

Staying on par with the season so far...

It had promise. I loved Tamika and the taming of 'The Beast.' I loved Lil' D trying to hide in fear as he tried to survive 'til the contest... and after that, still didn't win in a fair competition. But I didn't like the whole superhero bit with Sunny... just felt superfluous and unneeded. Kim the detective was even worse... she's just plain girly-airheaded now, isn't she? I liked it better when you couldn't tell between her and her twin brother Kam. Now, Kim's easily the worst character on the show.

If 3000's gonna throw us more than two plots in an episode every once in awhile, then they better find a way to make 'em all work.

"Tamika and the Beast": 3.5/5.

This plotline feels pretty basic. "Girl meets boy who has bad/animal qualities but shows everyone he's not too bad a guy/helps to change him by seeing some inner beauty" but this was a decent update of that. This is one of the few episodes where Tamika is a more appealing character actually showing great affection for the "beast" and getting along with him quite well. And finding out he's only a jerk in not being loyal after being crowned champion but not in a wreck stuff sort of way (should of seen it was that runner up but that actually did catch me a bit by surprise. Yeah obviously beast didn't do it but didn't expect it to be that kid). There were also some funny runny jokes in this one: Eddy having to pay for Lil D's drum sets, Kim as a detective looking more fashionable then solving anything, and Sunny's superhero alter ego (I also noticed a Teen Titansesque cued whenever he transformed) and I liked seeing Lil D loose the compettion in a weird yet uniquley animated drum showdown (look sort of video gamey actually). Was a better episode then I thought at least even if it was still only decent.

I think this is the best episode of the series so far. The jokes were funny, especially when the culprit had to choose between being in a cage with a lion, or face Tamika.

I give it a B.

Kim the detective was even worse... she's just plain girly-airheaded now, isn't she? I liked it better when you couldn't tell between her and her twin brother Kam. Now, Kim's easily the worst character on the show.

I beg to differ. Kim has always had this personality; she and Kam were never autonomous and indistinguishable. It's just that the writers never gave Kim much to do in the first season (except of course for "Westley Side Story" and "Too Cool for School"). And while I would describe Kim as 'girly', I hardly think 'airheaded' is a valid description of her character. (The airhead of the group is clearly Madison.) Kim is far from stupid, merely very trendy and fashion-obsessed. Again, this is hardly a revelation; she's always been that way.

"STOP THIS FRANKENSTEIN PARODY AT ONCE!"

You know how most Cartoon Network shows go uphill with their second season? This doesn't seem to be the case with 3000, at least IMO. It's still a good episode, Kim seemed some of clueless here, we saw Tamika's soft side here for once, and of course, the ever popular Frankenstein parody. But, it just didn't feel too great to me.

I still give it a ***1/2, though.
