Okay kids, you guys remember the episode of Samurai Jack involving the Norse warrior who got turned into the stone monster... well I had an interesting idea when I recalled the "runic narrative" sequence: It seems that different cultures would have their own different ways of representing an image of Aku. That episode showed the Norse-runic look... now what would YOU folks like to see? If you could see His Blackness in any cultural stylistic form, what would it be?
I'm presently doodling a series of Aku drawings based on that multicultural theme... So far I've got a finished drawing of a Haida Pacific Northwest Indian totem pole style Aku (... REALLY cool, and disturbingly effective...), and a working sketch of an African Tribal mask-style Aku. Next up is Aztec stone-carving Aku. It's a round-the-world festival of EVIL!
So suggest away, if I find it interesting enough, I might draw a picture in YOUR recommended style too!
"Live action version, huh? Well I've got two words of warning. STEVEN SEGALL." - Live action SJ. And you thought the madness was over after "Super Mario Bros."

How about rendering Ol' Telephone Pole Head in the style of a prehistoric cave painting, like the ones you see in Altamira, Spain?
[Off-topic mode] BTW, did you watch E! News Daily this morning?
They had a "Fanarchy" feature featuring clips from some of the new episodes, including one with SJ working out with a bo wearing little more than his skivvies (I posted a thread about this). And I just saw a CCF promo ("Bubbles" is hosting next week!) where he's charging someone, ripped kimono, bare chest and all (too bad we won't be seeing that particular eppy before March!)

How 'bout an Australian 'Dreamtime Painting' Aku?
You could consider doing one Aku depiction for every continent (prehaps excepting Antarctica.)

--a similar thing was done with Apocolypse on Fox's X-Men series. Archangel as surrounded by depictions of the age-old demon from different eras--one looked stone-carved and maybe Egyptian, and he was shown as more human-looking and flesh-colored. So maybe something similar could be done with Aku. Recall also he's appeared as a woman to Jack, so perhaps in one incarnation he ruled as a seductive she-devil. :shudders:
