Has anyone bought the dvd yet ?

Just got it today and it looks great so far. It seems to have a pretty good transfer.

I've always liked this series more and consider it superior to the other Mario series. "Super Mario Bros. Super Show" always seemed like a generic cartoon with the Mario cast thrown in, while "Super Mario World" was just too weird, focusing on the cavemen characters, but "SMB3" was always the best. It was more faithful to the video game and focused more on the characters and the tone and style of the game. It featured all of the characters, villains, settings, and even music from the game and made one heck of a show.

I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow, i'm hoping my best buy has them. I got a $5 off certificate i earned via points system. I cant wait to get it and watch it all day friday. I'll have a review up on sunday, if they have any avaliable.

Help me out here, is the music from the game itself or from the series? I hope its from the series cause they are nice remix from the game :)

Oh and i bet the quality is great, i have the lone Mario 3 DVD from lion gate, which im watching as we speak to hold me over till i get the complete series, the quality is A+, i wanna know how it looks on a HD tv using HD Up-Conversion.

Well, the music sounds like it's from the games, but it's made for the show. In other words, it's based on the music from the game, and sounds very much like such!

Yeah DeepDiscount & Best Buy usually carry them, but the only way i can get mine is through BestBuy.com. I'm not sure how others got it early too.

Very odd that DeepDiscount doesn't carry something. Amazon has it for $24.99 (one cent shy of free shipping). I got mine from MTV for $10.29, though you won't find it for that there anymore (they had a $10 off anything coupon, but nixed the deal after thousands of orders came in over a single afternoon because they hadn't set a limit - a few orders slipped through though). After the poor customer service they gave after the incident with order cancellations, I wouldn't order from them again, but I will mention you can still get this set from them for $20.29 with free shipping for anyone willing to risk it.
