On my first post to TTTP, I submitted a Cartoon Network schedule proposal that I wrote up. However, with the entire March schedule being avaliable and the suggestions submitted by fellow TTTP members, I have made a few revisions. Also, I took the time to research CN's cartoons, especially with their original programs, since I only watch/tape their classic shows; primarily Acme Hour, The Flintstones, Late Night B&W, and The Looney Tunes Show, and that's pretty much it! 12:00pm Mr. Magoo (includes cartoons from both the Columbia/Screen Gems/Mintz studio and Mr. Magoo's UPA cartoon facility) These cartoons, especially the Mintz/Screen Gems ones, rarely turn up on TV; so this show would be a must for CN's schedule! :bosko:
1:00pm Casper & Friends I thought this was an appropriate title, since Casper is called "The Friendly Ghost" after all! :D Once again, this show consists of non-Popeye cartoons from Famous Studios; such as Casper, Little Lulu, Noveltoons, Beetle Bailey (later years at famous; including many that were made for TV, to answer a few questions!), etc.

As a bonus, let's try to include the original titles to as many cartoons as possible! BTW, how could be POSSIBLY forget Nelson's proposal last August?! :D

Okay, some of you may think I'm a little obsessive about this, but most of us weren't too happy with Cartoon Network's schedule changes in late February/early March. IMHO, CN's March schdule is a disaster area that needs much improvement! :D

Therefore, a schedule like this would very likely make Cartoon Network a true leader in the cable network race, not just for cartoons, but cable-TV programming in general! Hopefully, their porgrammings execs. will pick up a few ideas here! If anyone has any questions, comments, or sugeestions about my new CN schedule revision, please post! I look forward to hearing from you! :bosko:

Very nice schedule! However, for the Casper cartoon block, let's not forget about favorites like Little Audrey, Herman & Katnip, Baby Huey, and Buzzy the Crow! :)

I'd take that over the current schedule any day. Also, more cartoons should be added to the "Acme Hour". It doesn't work well with only 2 studios!

I will include those in the cartoon rotation as well. As I wrote above, "non-Popeye cartoons from Famous Studios; such as Casper, Little Lulu, Noveltoons, Beetle Bailey (later years at Famous; including many that were made for TV, to answer a few questions!), etc." Of couse Casper will be on these, since he was pretty much Famous Studios's other top star besides Popeye at the time. FYI, Little Lulu, Noveltoons, and Beetle Bailey were examples of what would be included; note the "such as" and "etc." BTW, I'm really not that familiar with Paramount's Famous Studios cartoons other that Popeye and Casper myself! :D

Hope this answers your question! :bosko:

Although I never brought this us, I would include cartoons from other studios besides WB & MGM; which are pretty much it now on Acme Hour, since the Popeye cartoons were taken off a while back. Since cartoons from several other studios were added to my schedule; such as Woody Woodpecker (Universal), Terrytoons (Mighty Mouse, Heckle & Jeckle, etc.; released through 20th Century Fox); Mr Magoo, Fox & the Crow, Color Rhapsodies (both Columbia); Pink Panther (United Artists), and the aformentioned Paramount/Famous cartoons I mentioned in my above post; it would make perfect sense to throw in a few more cartoons from diffent studios in addition to the MGM and Warner Brothers ones. Other than breaking the monotony, it would give Acme Hour viewers a chance to see what new cartoons have been added to CN's archive, and help cross-promote the new cartoon short shows that I added to my lineup.

BTW, I did mention what would be added to LNB&W's rotation; for example, Flip the Frog & Willie Whopper (Ub Iwerks/MGM), Ęsop's Fables, (human) Tom & Jerry (Van Buren), Oswald the Rabbit (Universal/Lantz), and possibly Bosko & Buddy (early Looney Tunes from WB), Krazy Kat & Scrappy (Columbia), possibly others! Also, you might want to check out Silent Cartoon Showcase scheduled for late Saturday night, which I based on a CN proposal made last August by Nelson Hughes.

BTW, I could use a little more feedback from all of you-- try to let me know what you think of my revised schedule at the top of this thread. If anyone has questions, comments, or suggestions, please post them! I really would like to hear from you! :bosko:
