Hmm... At least Optimus Prime looks like the Optimus Prime I grew up with. I'm talking about the second pic, not the first one where he's combined with his trailer (which is a cool concept in itself.

I'll pass judgment on Armada once I've seen a few episodes of the show.

Armada takes place in 2010? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this place Armada before the movie (if it even follows the continuity of the original series)? Or does this set it after the post movie episodes?

Wait, didn't the movie take place 20 years after the beginning of the series (which was set in 1986)? Which would set the movie in 2006. Which would set Armada a few years after the end of the post movie episodes (again, only if it is following the continuity of the original). Argh! I've just given myself a headache.

Let's all pray that Hasbro will redeem themselves and offer reissues of G1 like Takara does in Japan.

Transformers: The Movie happens in 2005. The narrator in the film says so himself. :)

Someone wake me up when they try their hand at Beasties/Beast Wars (note: *NOT* Machines) again, hmm?

From the above linked site:

The Minicons are scattered all over Earth, and the hunt begins to acquire these powerful robots!

Pokemon anyone? "Gotta catch 'em all!"

Ugh.

The Clown Prince It's been a while since I've seen the movie, and the death of Optimus always brings a tear to my eye...

...why are you looking at me like that? A man's allowed to cry at the death of a beloved childhood cartoon character now isn't he? ISN'T HE?!

...

I'm just go stand in the corner now. Please just ignore me. :p

Optimus with his trailor....uhm...NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Megatron...I like it. Not the best color scheme(stick to grey n' silver), but he's nice...
Regular Optimus...good, but...whats with his hands?
Starscream...oh geeze.....thats....eww...

Honestly, I'd have to say it all looks like they took the basic idea of the classic transformers...but got the designers behind Beast Machines to design them. Eh. Of course I'll be getting them...but...I wont say I'll enjoy it....much... ;) :D
